Okay..found -ready-to-use- server..I'll try make this one work (first one was 'working', but refused all other connections except mine). If I fail..well..I'll give up then.

As for character specialisation, Vengeance, it depends on how you want your character to proceed through battles and what would fit this character better.
Yes melee could be stealthy too (knife in the dark), but archer is range type of character.
(For my shame) i haven't read your story so far, but from what I get MC is from farm...well, kinda suited both. If we go by stereotypes 'farm folks' usually good melee fighters.
But in same time we can't deny 'hunter' side of life.
Okay, in my opinion it would be better to go off with melee.

I think I know what I'll do. She'll be primarrily an Archer, but will keep a Sword handy in case they get close.No shields though. And I'm definitely going to stick with light armor. I just enjoy it so much more than heavy.

I can't remember if there was an advantage to light armor, I think at the highest level of heavy armor you get whatever sneak bonus you got from using light.

I enjoyed using light armor myself just kinda felt pointless when heavy was just a straight upgrade. I could be wrong though, I haven't played skyrim in a very long time. Maybe it was fable that said you were sneakier with lighter shoes... I think it really was just shoes that affected your sneak in that game.

Actually, with the highest level of light armor, you have almost equal armor rating as heavy. Heavy also makes it harder to sneak efficiently. The main reason is that I just like how most of the light armors look as opposed to the two or three heavies that I like.

As an example, Dargonscale looks way better than Dragonplate. Not to mention that it is a hell of a lot lighter, thus you can carry more shit.

I used heavy armour in Skyrim mostly out of habit. I do like the aesthetics of Daedric and Dwarven.
With high smithing, you can have light armour at the armour cap, which is about 560 IIRC, quite easily.
There is perk that makes the heavy armour you wear weigh nothing, I think. They might all have to be from the same type, though I may be getting it confused with the armour set bonus perk.

There are perks to make light or heavy weigh nothing, but the light armor tree also allows your stamina to regenerate faster.
