Eh, what's the appeal to Defiance? It's interesting to see a console MMO, a new TPS, since those tend to be rather uncommon recently, and the newer trend of dynamic world development being put to use.
What makes it great?

The gunplay is amazing. The world is interesting. The matchmaking is fun as hell.

It feels really good. Like a mix between Borderlands and Gears of War.

Watched some gameplay. Aesthetics are alright, kind of like Borderlands and Crackdown 2 with pseudo-realism. From what I've heard of the controls, I'd play it on Xbox like most shooters because it looks awkward to play on PC.
Might pick it up sometime.
