Usually when laws like that are passed, those things are kinda grandfathered in so long as you don't give them away in any form.

That said there's no telling what depth of stupidity they'll go to.

In the next election, if a republican candidate wins they've already said they're going to revoke it immediately.

Of course it may not last anyways because:
A) A lot of sheriffs have said they will not be enforcing the law.
B) Magpul has a big factory here that they said they'll shut down if the law passed, so that will cost a LOT of people their jobs.
C) It's causing wide-spread piss-offedness among colorado gun owners who have now realized that finding magazines is going to basically be impossible.

The general stupidity politicians seem to be required to have to get elected these days.

And if you get a smart one, they're actively trying to screw over the people, and if you get a good one they become disillusioned by how corrupt the system is and how they can't do anything without scratching the back of the corrupt ones.

It's weird. All of the politicians who are passing the gun control laws seem to not know of the method called reloading. Or the exsitance of handguns.

They also don't care about jobs...even though they constantly talk about how they will do anything they can to get the unemployed back to work. Tell that to the workers in the factories where they make these magazines.

All most gun control legislation is these days are knee-jerk, "let's put a band-aid over the gaping wound" kind of deals.

That said, there's never really going to be any kind of effective gun control ever short of every weapon that could be labeled a gun just vanishing off the face of the earth and for some reason nobody is able to make any new ones.

And the "ultimate" goal of stopping any and all injuries and deaths from guns would only lead to the rise of more injuries and deaths from other methods, like stabbing.

Sorry went off on a rant there.

Actually, hammering. More people were killed by hammers in 2011 than guns in the US. True fact, I'm not even kidding.
