"I have to be hard on myself Miri. When I make mistakes ponies get hurt. Badly," the stallion said softly, trying desperately to not wake the foal. "I just...I'm sorry. I'll drop it."

"Thank you," Mira told him and brushed her lips across his. "Besides, you look so much cuter when you're smiling."

Charcoal blushed, smiling slightly at the mare's touch. "Cute? I look cute?" he asked in mock offense.

[CamoBadger]

"Of course, stallions are allowed to be cute," she told him with a grin. "Especially when they hold little foals."

"I'm not sure if that would make him want to kill me, though I'm not sure of what would make him want to, short of physically hurting you. I mean, just sleeping with you is fairly benign, right?"
He says with an awkward smile.

Eve shakes her head. "Funny, isn't it? Hardly anyone cared that I even existed, then the stadium happens, and suddenly I'm the centre of the fucking universe." She sighs, dragging a hoof across the surface of the water. "I'll endure. Survive. I have to. Even if the ponies I survive for don't really deserve it." She shakes her head again. "S-sorry. I guess we can do something else, if you want."

"Yeah. I guess so. But I still think it is probably just Dinner Bell being cute, not me," Charcoal said with a shrug.

[Katarn]

"Well..." Novae smiles back. "Your feathers pretty soft."

[Ketchup]

"My feathers... soft?"
He looks at his wings and back at her.
"...What do they have to do with anything?"

[Tytan]

"To be fair, you didn't go out of your way to make yourself noticed. I get the feeling that was intentional," Clock said coyly.

Clock thought for a moment about what they could do, "I wouldn't mind going to see those masseuses if you don't mind."

Then she thought about what Eve said, "Who do you survive for?"

[Katarn]

"I like them." Novae showed Quiver tongue.

[Ketchup]

"...Okay. I'll keep that in mind, I guess."
He looks at her for a few seconds before continuing.
"So... what now? Should we start heading back to Tenpony?"

[Katarn]

Novae starts counting. "Jayne is still sleeping, my pistol will be fixed in hour or so and Jayne's armor will be done tomorrow afternoon. So I guess we'll fly there tomorrow, after we get armor, unless others show up here."

[MrMagma]

Eve nods at the suggestion, even though she didn't really want to. "Y-yeah, we can do that."
Eve considers Clock's question, and shrugs. "A lot of folks. What's left of my family, if they're even still around. Home, if it's still standing. Too many others to list."

[Tytan]

(Per 7+5) Clock noticed Eve's uneasiness, "We don't have to do anything you don't want to. We can stay here, we can go find something to eat, we can go back to the others, we could go get a room if you want to sleep in a proper bed. It's your choice."

"Where are you from anyways? The way you talk about it makes it sound like it's in some serious trouble."

[CamoBadger]

"I think it's a little of both," Mira assured him and nuzzled the foal. "But she does help."

[MrMagma]

"I suppose we can stay here for a little while longer, then. It couldn't hurt. If you're okay with it, anyway."
"O-oh, just some town in the middle of nowhere." Eve says with a small, dismissive wave of a hoof. "Haven't been there in about seven years. I've been out of the loop news-wise for about as long. Honestly, anything could've happened."

[Tytan]

Clock shrugs, "I'm fine with whatever you want to do."

Clock leans forward so the bottom of her muzzle was barely dipping into the water, "So... what was the trouble when you left? Raiders? Bandits? Rangers looking for something shiny?"

[MrMagma]

"No. Something much more simple than that. It was the same problem, or problems, we've always had. Hunger. Thirst. Basic stuff that almost everyone takes for granted."

[XT Vengeance]

"She gets it from her mother," Charcoal said softly as he nuzzled the mare.

[Tytan]

Clock thought about what possible reasons they could have to stay where they were, "Is there something special about where they settled? I mean, I can understand a food shortage, but if you need water you move to where it is or trade for it or... I'm sorry, it's not my place to say anything. I grew up in a caravan. Community and family are the same thing, and we don't have the same problems as towns. If we didn't have enough food we'd stop in a town and Dad would sell his services until we could afford it."

"There's nothing too special about it, really. Nothing worth trading, that we knew of. We had barely enough water to get by, as long as it was rationed correctly. We had small groups that would go out hunting for food. Sometimes, if we were lucky, the food would come to us."

[Tytan]

"Enough food to trade?"

[Ketchup]

"Well, there's not much to do around here while we wait, so maybe Lotus and Martini have something for us to do after we get Jayne and your gun."
He says as he looks around for the two guards.

Eve shakes her head. "Nope. Not that we would trade it, anyway. Gotta look out for ourselves, ya know?"

[CamoBadger]

Quiver sees the two twins trotting along the wall with a few of the guards from Old Appleloosa.

[Katarn]

"Sounds like a plan to me."

[Tytan]

"Yeah, that makes sense. Still... *sigh* I don't know."

Clock slides closer to Eve, "So where'd you get all those scars? I'll show you mine if you show me yours."

[Ketchup]

"Alright, let's go see if they want help with anything."
He says before leading Novae over to the twins.
"Hello, Lotus, Martini. Is there anything that you could use help with?"

Martini turned around and looked at Quiver in surprise. "What are you... didn't you all leave?"
