Just found out myself that one of my two plants are saying the same thing.
If you have enough that they're picking up practically all the recycling, they seem to think there's nothing to do. Leave it turned on and they'll figure it out by themselves.

Right now? No.
I've got two weeks off work, just entering the second. I allow myself about three hours sleep every morning some time around 8am.

Considering I see no difference with your usual state, I suppose this is the kind of things that should tell us something about you, but I'm not sure what...

Hahahaa. I know what it tells us, but that's because I studied psychology.
Now, I won't say because:

1. That ruins the surprise
2. It's pretty obvious I'm not normal

Oh, also, I have a nuclear power plant (AGAIN) despite the name of the region BUT hear me out - I also have a university with school of science and the education level is fine for the plant.
I'm also making sure to check the safety of it constantly and I've actually sent 200,000 to my other town to buy a shit-load of water production because my water production has gone tipsy turvy with dwindling supplies and heavy usage.

The good news is I have nearly 200m/w spare power if you want to buy any - and this time I promise you can rely on me.

Also, do you have any plans for the great works site? I'm thinking we should either go solar or arcology or whatever it's called.
Solar would mean power isn't an issue ever again.
Arcology would mean we can focus on things other than housing.

I'd go with Arcology, personally. I'm setting up to build up a processor / tv industry, and with my metal / alloy production, we'd be self-sufficient for the resources needed.

Then we'll be able to concentrate on the fun of industrial production etc..

Well fuck me. I don't know what to do.
My education level has gone down for some damned reason and now I've had to choose - close the nuclear power plant or deal with the risk of another blast.

I've closed it for now, I'm hoping my new (community) college / library will help me out but the issue is what to do about the missing 200m/w in the time between that.
Don't fancy risking my ass again. Radiation is a cunt to deal with.

This is why I was really hoping for the solar array, but of course you've got a good reason for wanting the Arcology.

Well damn...

I wonder if I could fit enough oil power plant modules to power myself.

Just ditch the Nuke. We'll go the Solar road, then. Given how diversified Monet's High production is becoming, we'll probably have the ressources and the cash needed.

If we want the Arcology's population we'll just build the it on another on another Great Work site, and they'll use the railway system / ferries to come to our cluster.

Cool, glad to hear.

Dude. I'm "helping" you with your recycling... I'm making a fucking mint off of it.
I've got two plants dedicated to my own city and one for yours.
Yup, a whole plants worth of trucks just for your city.

Money money money!

FYI, recycling plant totally dedicated to plastic production running at full speed, as well as two fully upgraded processor plants. Spike

Man, Monet's High is sucking almost 600 MW of power by itself. For a city of 120,000 inhabitants. That's fucking crazy...

Well, it DOES have 4 fully upgraded metal foundry producing alloy running 24/7... As well as the two processor plants... and a lot of other things...

Man, even with 1.5 fully upgraded water purification plants my sewage system is almost saturated.

Space shortgage is becoming a real concern.

OTOH, Matisse's Plains is well on the way to becoming a major population center. My only problem is that I have a number of homeless, because I have almost no low-qualified jobs to provide. And I'm not going to allow the construction of filthy low-grade industry in that city, which is bound to become one of the major provider of fresh water in the region (as well as the fact it's supposed to be primarily a residential suburb with hi-tech industries locally).

So, go out shopping for food since I had nothing in the house apart from canned carrots and peas x 20 of each, leaving simcity on to run.

My money had barely risen and my profit was -$20,000p/h
Not good.

After cutting out a few schools that weren't picking up the slack in terms of attendance despite being fully decked (so really, a huge waste of resources!) I'm back to being around +$500p/h which is perfectly fine because that means my monthly profit total has gone from 5,000 to 400,000

even with a loss of -15,000 per hour, Monet's High gain around 200,000 every two to three days.

edit : but if I go below 100,000 in treasury I run the risk of touching $0 in a few hours, so I have to be cautious when spending money.

Managed to lower my taxes down to 11% so they'll stop abandoning shit but also get profit because they keep at it.

My main problem right now is logistics : the agent system is dumb, and there's so much to do around my town that the resource trucks have difficulties prioritizing their deliveries.

As a result, my processor plants are out of resources to make processors 1/3 of the time.

Would it be possible to transform Sewage Electric etc into a low-tech manufacturing center / low-incomes housing center, in order to provide job for our poors ?

Matisse's Plains will take to its charge providing cop patrol cars & firetrucks, if necessary (though it'd be best if they could do it themselves).

The only thing holding me back right now is 38% on the solar research
takes quite some time.

Once the research is done, I have over 1,000,000 spare.

That's actually what it's already doing, to a small extent. Once the solar farms are done, I'll pour money into it and do it fully.

Just around 50% research done now and shy of 2,000,000 - so I can afford it no matter what now.

I'm thinking that once I've got the power station online, I'll completely wipe my city apart and restart using the saved up money to make a more efficient system.
Maybe.

I'd keep all the more essential / higher cost buildings of course. City hall and such. However, if I was to remove all buildings and work on the layout, make it as efficient as could be...
Its an idea, but just that at the moment.
