"Well, there goes that idea," Charcoal grumbled. He turned and made his way to Boomsticks, hoping to restock on grenades. Charcoal entered the door and trotted up to the counter.

"Hey Skippy, what kind of grenades do you have in stock?"

[Guest]

Shadow starts cleaning Barb's switchblade"....Ah guess, ah should say, welcome ta the Wastes, Cast, yer probably gonna see more of that soon..."

[CamoBadger]

"I've got 5 incendiaries, 3 frags, and 2 pulse grenades for ya. 30 per flame, 15 per frag, and 25 per pulse."

[XT Vengeance]

Charcoal set thirty caps on the counter. "I'll take two of the frags, I really don't think it would be a good idea for me to get the pulse grenades."

[Ironmonger]

"It gave me a dose of what you people call life in the wasteland. " he says. "I have seen things that would bring many stallions to cowardice and tears and pulled through. Soldiers gutted by machine gun fire because someone gave us bad data, people burn to death from fire magic, tanks drown with their crews, among other things, but what I saw in there disturbed me like no other." He sighs heavily. "I was taught to hate no one...but what I saw in there is pushing things."

[CamoBadger]

"I don't blame ya," Skippy agreed as he passed over the frags. "Hey, you wouldn't have happened to see Ditsy or Martini today have ya? They went out last night to scavenge and I haven't seen either of them."

[XT Vengeance]

"No, I haven't. Is that unusual for them?"

[CamoBadger]

"Yeah. They usually try to get back before sunrise," he explained and shook his head. "Lotus must be worried sick."

[XT Vengeance]

"Huh. I'll go talk to Lotus. Thanks," Charcoal said, concerned. He left the shop and headed to the town gate, looking for Lotus.

[Guest]

"Raiders. Ain't. People."He says venomously"It's perfectly fine ta hate'em."He finishes cleaning the switchblade and starts reading Keys and Tumblers

Lotus sat on the top of the wall staring out over the Wasteland with a tired look in her eyes before turning to look down at Charcoal as he approached. "Hey... um... you haven't heard anything about Ditsy have you?"

"No, I'm afraid I haven't. I was coming to see if you knew anything."

[CamoBadger]

Lotus shook her head sadly. "I just know they should have been back by now, they were only going 2 hours away..."

Cherry walks into Boomsticks"Um, sir, do ya happen ta have any E-79 grenade rifle's on ya?"

[XT Vengeance]

"If it'll help, I can get the others and we can go look for them," Charcoal offered.

[Ironmonger]

"Perhaps, but it will take me a good while to adjust to that thinking. One does not simply throw seven years of teachings out of the window."
He removes the pins on his rifle and opens the receiver.

[CamoBadger]

"You would? But... you've hardly had any rest after the last time you helped me," Lotus reminded him with a sad look. "I'll just wait, or maybe ask if one of the docs can go out and look. I wouldn't want to put you all in danger again..."

[CamoBadger]

"Sorry, Miss. I don't have any grenade launchers at the moment."

[Guest]

"All right, thanks anyways, sir."She walks out of Boomsitcks

"You'll learn quick."

[XT Vengeance]

"I'll be fine. I'll go get the others to help. You all have done a lot for us just by letting us stay here for a while. I don't know about the others, but I don't want anything bad to happen to your sister or Miss Ditzy."

[CamoBadger]

The mare smiled and teleported off the wall, appearing beside Charcoal and wrapping her hooves around his neck. "Oh, thank you so much, you're the greatest," she told him happily before quickly kissing him on the cheek.

[XT Vengeance]

"I'm taken!" Charcoal yelled, as he squirmed to break free. The stallion then ran back to the tavern.

[Ironmonger]

He finally sees what the inside of the receiver looks like. "Shiiiiiit. The zebra was not kidding about weapon maintenance..." he says to himself. He begins to clean out the dirt.

[CamoBadger]

Lotus sat in by the gate with her hooves wrapped around nothing as she watched Charcoal sprint away. "Okay," she said to nobody in particular before teleporting back to the top of the wall.

"That bad?"He looks up and notices Charcoal running into the Tavern"wo there, Tex, yer what's got ya runnin' like a bat outta hell?"

[XT Vengeance]

Charcoal slowed down and frowned at Shadow. "Don't call me that. I have a name, and it isn't Tex."

[Ironmonger]

"Something important?" He says to charcoal

[Guest]

Shadow shrugs"Eh, it's probably close enough. So, where ya headed ta in a hurry?"

[XT Vengeance]

"No, it isn't close enough. My name is Charcoal. I've told you before Shadow," Charcoal replied with a frown. "Ditzy Doo and Martini are missing," he said to Cast Iron. "We need to go find them."

"Two ladies in trouble? Sounds like my kind of job. I'm in."
