What did everyone think of Clocks nightmare?

Personally I thought it was kinda meh, but with the grimdark it takes quite a lot to get a reaction/feel from me.

It was a little odd. Not bad it's just I thought whatever issue she has with foals (Fillies in particular apparently.) would be on her mind instead of her doctor trauma.

To be honest, I don't understand her doctor trauma, or really much about Clock. It's just one of those things that doesn't register for me.

It's kinda weird how we all assume that doctors are emotionless machines that go from one patient to the next without batting an eye at death. I guess it's just one of those things that never really occurred to anyone. I know I didn't up until a few months ago.

Clock takes personal responsibility for every one of her patients. She feels that she's somehow failed as a doctor if her patient dies, even if it's obvious she couldn't have done anything.

So, apparently me having a Newfie has rubbed off on my family, because they're trying to adopt one since their other dog died a few weeks ago. (Yes, that is why I had to leave randomly that one day and was depressed for a few days after).

I became aware of how they feel several years ago. I suppose that's partly why I don't get much out of it, it's nothing new for me.

I think it's because that's the impression they give. You never SEE a doctor break down and cry, or show any sort of true emotion because it's part of their job not to show it.

And of course, we the people like to pretend that everything is good in the world for the sake of our own sanity.

Though I think it makes since from the character's point of view. For the most part I think that's the type of doctor they'd come across.

Doctors who literally cannot afford to get attached.

With the exception of Tumble and Flower who avoid doctors for the most part because they can't do much for them anyway. And a few others that grew up elsewhere

And then I go off by myself and cry for a few hours whenever a kid or somebody I knew died because I couldn't help them, or if I had the wonderful job of telling a pair of now-orphans that their father was killed and I couldn't save him. Every doctor/medic/nurse does. Strangers don't effect me as much, I don't cry for them, but I don't treat it fine and dandy either. I go dead to the world for the rest of my day and usually get pissed off incredibly easy.
