Charcoal takes all of the raider's belongings, then turns to the cages. "I found the key." Charcoal pick the key up and carries it over to the cages. "I'm going to let you out. I need you to stay calm, alright?" he says to the trapped mares.

[Katarn]

"Wait!" Novae jumps to Char. "What if they rigged it? I mean, they were smart enough to set that." She points at rifles. "Better safe than sorry?"

[CamoBadger]

Charcoal, Scorch, Novae:
The mares all nod, but still push themselves to the back of the cage before it opens.

Quiver attacks again.

Searchlight unsheathes his knife and stabs the mare.

'That's a good point. You're the demolitions mare. Check for traps," he says to Novae.

He turns to the frightened mares. "Are any of you hurt? I have a few potions," he says to them softly.

"Yup, that's me." [Combat: 12+2] [Damage: 8] Eve fires a shot from her Ratslayer, the bullet hitting the pony in his foreleg.
[Combat: 14+2] [Damage: 2+5] Cherry fires her repeater, the shot hitting the Defiler in the head.
[Combat: 19] [Damage: 7+1] Shadow fires a burst from his SMG, each of the shots hitting.

Novae sniffs floor and walls near cage and looks for hidden ropes or something that even remotely looks like a trap.

[vs Quiver: 16 (5+2= 7 damage)] The needle spun in the air and dove through Quiver's leg, then another, and another, around and around until the pony's legs were tied together in less than a second. ((Quiver is Snared, must escape before attacking again))

Charcoal, Scorch, Novae:
The mares all nod to the blood on their coats and the wounds across their bodies.
Novae doesn't find any traps or other fucked up raider things.

"Aside for a fact it smells awful here, there shouldn't be any 'surprises'. We're good to go." Novae walks to Char. "See, I'm useful." Smile.

[Orm]

Searchlight charges the ghoul and stabs her shoulder.

Charcoal nods to Novae.

He then turns back to the mares in the cages and passes his two small potions. "Each of you drink half of one," he says. He puts the key in the first cage and unlocks it. "I'd suggest you all stick together when you leave, or follow us. I can't promise anything bad won't happen, but I'll do my best to keep you all safe," Charcoal says to the mares.

Eve, Shadow, Cherry:

The pony screamed in a symphony of several voices as his body split off 8 extra clones.
[3 vs Eve: 19 (2+3-1= 4 damage), 8, 16 (6+2-1= 7 damage)] Three of them attack Eve, slamming their hooves into her sides brutally.

[3 vs Cherry: 19 (9+5= 14 damage), 5, 8] Three more jump on cherry, punching at her and kicking her angrily.

[3 vs Shadow: 12 (4 damage), 7, 17 (1+5= 6 damage)] The last three go for Shadow, beating on his head and legs with their hooves and magic.

[vs Cast: 1 (8+2= 10 damage)] The large pony swings again, but misses and ends up lodging the cleaver in his own shoulder.

Quiver escapes from the snare.

Charcoal, Scorch, Novae:
The mares nod and take shared sips of the potions to heal each other before standing and cautiously walking out of the cage, but sitting down just outside the door to unbind and un-gag each other.
One turns to Charcoal with a sad look on her face. "Have you found the foals yet?" she asked him hopefully. "Are they okay?"

Searchlight, Quiver:

[vs Searchlight: 9] The needle turns on Searchlight and dashes at him, but floats over his head harmlessly.

"Foals?" Rises eyebrow.

[XT Vengeance]

"Foals?" Charcoal says, anger seeping into his voice. He shakes his head. "I...I haven't seen them yet, sorry. The rest of our group is searching the other buildings," he says, controlling his voice. "Do you know what building they were taken to?" he asks the mare.

[Ironmonger]

[strength 10 (7+5)] Cast wraps a claw around the butchers neck, holding him in place.
d20(7) Crusher fires at the butcher but misses.

[Agility 8; 5+3] [Combat: 14+1, 17+1] [Damage: 4+1, 5+1+3] Eve swings her forelegs outwards towards the clones attacking her, killing two of them.
[Combat: 16+1] [Damage: 5+1+5] Cherry fires her sawed-off shotgun at one of the clones hitting her, killing it instantly.
[Agility 6; 6+1] [Combat: 6, 19] [Damage: 3+1+5] Shadow draws his combat knife, swinging it at the clones attacking him, but only hitting and killing one.

Searchlight takes another swing at the mare with his knife.

"N-no, I have no idea," the mare replied. "P-please find them!"

Eve, Shadow, Cherry:

Each body that died disappeared into nothing as they all screamed in unison, the yells echoing through the Complex.
[2 vs Shadow: 12 (7 damage), 16 (5+4= 9 damage)] Two of the remaining bodies jump on Shadow, biting at his ears and neck angrily as they kicked his sides.
[2 vs Eve: 1 (1 damage), 2 (6 damage)] Two more attack Eve, but end up hitting each other somehow. One tears the head from the other and ends up hurting itself slightly.
[1 vs Cherry: 14 (10 damage)] The last one goes at Cherry again, bucking its back legs into her chest hard.
((The Defiler - 18/75HP - 4 bodies left))

Crusher, Cast:
((The Butcher - 25/75HP))
[STR 8] The Butcher writhes and struggles against Cast's grip but can't break free.

Searchlight, Quiver:
((The Seamstress - 7/75HP))
[vs Searchlight: 17 (6+2= 8 damage)] The needle dives down in the Seamstress' magic, pulling down Searchlight's head and wrapping through his forelegs, pulling his hooves out from under him and connecting them to his face. ((Searchlight is Immobilized - Must escape to attack again))

Rubs her chin. "Scorch, do you think you could try find them?" To Char. "Or we could go from building to building."
