Clocks voice is soft, and almost motherly, "Can you talk honey? What's your name?"

"I'll keep an eye out. Not like I have much use for them anyways." Eve walks out of the store. The job wasn't exactly what she expected, but caps are caps, and it seemed harmless enough.

[Charisma 6 (7+1)]"Hey there little guy, you okay? My name is Charcoal. This is Clock, Scorch, and Viktor," he says pointing to the others. "What's your name?"

The colt looks at the ground nervously and paws at it with his hoof before quietly responding. "Black Licorice."

[Tytan]

"Hi Licorice, can you tell me what you're doing here? This isn't really a great place for a colt to stay."

[XT Vengeance]

"You thirsty little guy?" Charcoal asks, offering his canteen.

Scorch cocks his head at the colt, and jumps off of Charcoal's back.

[CamoBadger]

The colt nodded and took a short drink before answering. "I live here now," the colt replied softly. "With my mama and the others."

[Tytan]

"You do? Why here? New Appaloosa isn't to far away."

[XT Vengeance]

whisper to clock:

"Where is your mom?" Charcoal asks tentatively.

[CamoBadger]

"Mama said we have to hide," the colt quietly responded. "She spends a lot of time with Papa down the hall. She tells me the vent is safe..."

[Tytan]

Whisper to Charcoal:

[charisma 6 (6+1)]"Can you take us to her?" Charcoal asks the colt.

[CamoBadger]

"Um...okay..." the colt replied nervously and trotted to the door. He looked both ways down the hall then started down it, hugging the wall with his side as he walked.

[Tytan]

Clock cautiously followed the ghoul colt.

Charcoal quietly follows the young ghoul down the hallway. His trigger hoof starts to itch, the hair standing up on the back of his mane in worry.

[CamoBadger]

((Both of you roll perception))

[XT Vengeance]

[Perception 7 (7+2+1)]

[Tytan]

[Perception 7+5]

As they step out the door, Charcoal and Clockwork notice that the door they came through has closed, and the door at the end where they saw the eyes is no longer shut. They can hear raspy breathing from around the corner and through the now open doorway.

[XT Vengeance]

whisper to Black Licorice:

Charcoal is slightly worried by that. He gets ready to unsling his rifle in case anything happens. He continues to follow the young colt.

whisper to black licorice:

whisper to Charcoal:

The colt stops at the corner and carefully looks around it. His lips curl into a little smile and he trots around the corner, his legs moving with slightly more life. "Hi Rust Bucket," he chirps once he's completely rounded the corner. Whoever he's talking to doesn't respond.

[XT Vengeance]

[perception 10] (6+5)] Scorch takes off from Charcoal's back and flies around the corner to see who the colt was talking to.

[CamoBadger]

Around the corner Scorch sees Licorice trotting ahead still, and a ghoul stallion standing in the middle of the hall. As soon as it sees him, the ghoul unleashes an unearthly howl which is soon echoed a few times further down the hall, as well as from the doorway beside the bird. The Feral charges. At the same time three more run into the hall, and another jumps from the room beside him.

[Tytan]

"Oooh crap." Clock dives behind Viktor and pulls out her ripper.

[Agility 9-1] Viktor crushes two of the charging ghouls

[Agility 3 (8-2)][combat (8+2) (13+2)]Charcoal acts quickly, slashing at two to the charging ferals with his bayonet.

[combat(8+2)]Scorch flies at one of the ferals, ripping at it with his talons.

At the sound of the rustling and fighting behind him, the colt turns and sees the body. A frown instantly forms on his face and he looks up to the group sadly. "You...you killed them?"

[XT Vengeance]

[charisma 6 (8+1)]"I...I'm sorry. I...I didn't want to...they...they attacked us. Please...I'm sorry," Charcoal says, hanging his head. He knows exactly how it felt to loose family.

[CamoBadger]

"O-okay..." the colt hung his head. He slowly turned around and kept trotting, his hooves once again dragging slowly. He stopped a little further down the hall and pushed open a door. He lit up a little more and trotted in. "Hi Mama! Hi Papa!"

A raspy female voice responded frantically. "Licorice? What are you doing here sweetie? Mama told you to stay in the vent today."
