He nods. "That's fine and you're welcome. Thanks for keeping an eye out for my little one friend." He turn to leave.

"Goodnight mister." She called back as she hurried after Tumble.

The two exit the bar getting a good distance away before finding a spot to settle down for the night.

"Don't mention it."He smiles, then pulls out his book and starts reading, keeping an eye on Cherry.

The bartender happily mixed up another and placed it in front of the mare. "Gonna have to cut you off after this one. I'd rather not send another unconscious mare over to Blood Clot."

[Guest]

"Oooookkayyyy, Mishter! Fhank ya!"She takes the drink and leaves 10 more caps on the counter."Mhmmm, shooo tasty."She sips on the drink and starts to wobble as she walks away from the bar.

Cherry starts to wobble toward Shadow"Hhhhey, honey.... Whatcha doin'?"She says as she looks over his book

"Readin'. Blossom, maybe ya should sit down."

"Ah don't need ta sit down!"She starts to walk around, then almost falls.

Shadow's horn glows white and black tendril comes out of his coat. It catches Cherry, and holds her up right.

"Shee, Ah'm doin' just fine!"

Shadow looks at the tendril"Well, that's new."He looks at Cherry"All right, love, lets get ya somewhere safe."

"Oookay, shunshine."She giggles and leans on him.

A second tendril puts the book back into his bags and he walks out of the bar, looking to find an Inn.

Charcoal slowly awakes from his slumber, not quite able to recall what he had been dreaming about, but at least it wasn't his usual. As he moves to stretch, he notices that Clock had somehow moved in the night, her hoof touching his mechanical one. He smiles softly at the mare, remembering the lunch they had together. Charcoal blushes when he remembers the kiss. The dark grey stallion chuckles softly to himself when he recalls having to carry the drunken mare all the way to the room. He didn't mind at all.

Should I wake her up? he thinks to himself. After a moment, he decides on his course of action, and gently shakes the mare awake.

[Tytan]

Clock feels someone shaking her awake. She responds almost out of reflex, her words heavily slurred and her eyes scrunched, "No patiens till sunrise. Docs gotta sleep too."

[XT Vengeance]

"Clock, it's me Charcoal. Wake up."

[Tytan]

Clock tries to roll back into bed, but she misjudges her position.

*THUD*

Clock jolts awake, "I'm up!"

[XT Vengeance]

Charcoal leaps out of his chair, rushing to the mare. "Are you okay?" he asks her in a worried tone.

[Tytan]

"Yeah, I'm fine." Clock flexes her neck, after a few loud popping noises she looks relieved, "That was the best sleep I've had in a long time."

[XT Vengeance]

"Well that's good. I think you were only asleep for a few hours though. I...I carried you up here after you...passed out." Charcoal says awkwardly.

[Tytan]

Clock has a sudden realization, "Oh Goddess. I didn't do anything did I?"

[XT Vengeance]

"Oh...um...you...you don't remember?" he asks, disappointed and slightly ashamed.

[Tytan]

[Intelligence 9+5-1 (alcohol)]Clock thinks for a moment and starts walking through the events, "I remember sitting by the fire, then you started cooking the steak. And you brought out the rum and poured some on the steak. Then you offered me the bottle and I started drinking. I think we passed it back and forth a few times. Things started to get a bit hazy after that. I remember us eating the steak, which was really nice by the way. And then we talked some more, and you were sad for some reason, so I..." Clock blushes furiously.

[XT Vengeance]

"You were drunk...it's...it's okay...I...we can just forget about it if you want." Charcoal was struggling to say anything.

[Tytan]

"No."

[XT Vengeance]

"I understand..wait, what?" Charcoal says, clearly confused.

[Tytan]

"I... I meant it when I kissed you. I just... I just didn't want to take it this fast.

I've had... bad experiences taking relationships to fast. I don't want that to happen again. But I was to much of a damned fool to turn down a drink, even though I know what it does to me."

[XT Vengeance]

"I...well...I don't exactly have any experience with relationships," Charcoal paws the ground with his hoof. "I do know that taking things slow is best though. I have plenty of experience with that. I...I'm glad it wasn't a mistake though."

[Tytan]

Clock wraps Charcoal up in a hug, "I wouldn't do that to you Charcoal. I... I..." Clock can't bring herself to say anymore.

[XT Vengeance]

"It's okay Clock. We wouldn't want to rush things, would we?" he says, returning the embrace.

[Tytan]

"No, we wouldn't."

[XT Vengeance]

"Well, you want to go take a walk around town? See what's up?"

[Tytan]

"... I'd like that."

[XT Vengeance]

"Well, lets go then." With that, Charcoal lets go of the mare and leads the way back out into the town. "I...took the liberty of renting a room for the night. I thought it would be better for you to sleep in a bed, you know?" he says to the mare as they walk through the street.

[Tytan]

"Well... thanks. I haven't slept in a bed for a while. How much do I owe you?"

[XT Vengeance]

Charcoal just smiles at the mare. "Don't worry about it," he tells her.

[Tytan]

"Are you sure? Those places always overcharge."

[XT Vengeance]

"They do, but it isn't a problem. Just don't worry about it, okay?"

Scorch swoops down from a rooftop and lands silently on Charcoal's back.
