((I took lexapro for several years, but it wasn't until my stupid psychologist at the time upped the dose that I felt like a zombie. Woman was a quack. I see someone different now, and take something called effexor. But, then again, I have clinical depression, so it probably effects me differently.))

((Maybe you should try giving it more than a month before you tell her it isn't working? If that is not the problem, and you she is changing them without asking you, then you should find a different psychologist. I had a bad one, but the new one I have is awesome, and actually is helping me. In fact, i am in the process of weaning myself off of meds altogether. I'd rather not use them, and I have been on meds since I was in seventh grade.

@ tytan, I would suggest giving it a month or so, if you don't like it, see if you can get your dose lowered.

(( It's not a lot, it's one of the lower doses. I'm generally on 30 of whatever.

And yeah, XT, I was exaggerating. I actually have been changing every three or so months, but that coupled with constantly raising and lowering those doses is a pain. ))

((Pretty low. You should be alright. Personally, I take 75mg of my meds, which is the average recommended dose. Switching to 35 in a few weeks though.))

((Well, seeing as I have a chemical imbalance in my brain, and my meds help bring it back to normal, it doesn't affect me as much. Also, I tend to have a high tolerance for stuff like that. Including alcohol. You could ask Camo, I'm relatively level headed for a drunk.))
