((I'm probably the only one concern about this but for the sake of staying realistic while at the same time benefiting the group for supplies, for the size island we're on to have a decent sustainable population of wild hogs they're around 75 to 100 lbs , small by domesticated standards but a fair size for wild, and boar meat is safe to eat without having to worry about the horrible smell and taste that comes with animals full of testosterone. ))

((How are patients in a coma generally monitored and kept treated in a medical facility, specifically in regards to autonomous body functions? (Respiratory, cardiovascular, digestive, urinary, etc) ))

((They are hooked up to a machine which monitors their heart, breathing, brain activity. They are fed nutrients to keep them alive through an IV, and have catheters to gather waste.

Depending on what put them in the coma, they may need assistance with breathing, and would be placed on a respirator to keep their lungs working efficiently, but Alex doesn't seem like she would need that. If she did, she'd be dead already, so let's not even go there.))
