"We were testing out the systems when the bombs dropped. That vault was still in its prototype stages, it was constructed, but it didn't have all of the stasis pods put in yet. Me and about twenty other ponies got locked in. We didn't have any other options but to get into the pods. I wish I hadn't."

"For the first couple decades it was like a dream. We all lived in a peaceful town, everyone helped each other. It was the way things should have been. But then, after a while, things started to change. Everyone started having nightmares about the war." Lug says, his voice getting quiet. "I should have figured it out. The chief of staff had been playing with the backup controls. He shut down the memory repression systems. After a while, the whole thing became some sort of sick playground for him. The fucker tortured us endlessly for years."

"I still don't know what stopped it all exactly, but one day the program shut down, and we all woke up," Lug says, his body beginning to shake. "I...I killed them. All of them. I lost control of myself. I butchered every last one of them, even though only the chief was to blame," Lug says, his voice trembling slightly. "When I came to, I was covered head to hoof in blood. The blood of ponies I had, for the most part, respected."

Lug Nut then turns back to face Dark, his eyes wet with tears. "They died because I couldn't stop that bastard," he whispers. "A..after that day, I swore I would do better. That I would make up for it," he says, wiping his face with a hoof.

"That's why I became a bounty hunter. I could do something good, without having to put innocents at risk."

Finally satisfied with the sharpness of his machete he put it back in it's sheath.
After drinking and refilling another bottle of water, he stood up and made his way to the ponies he could see that were out of their tents.

As he sits there, Moodstone's stomach starts to growl. He realizes he hadn't eaten for the better part of a day. Spotting Red going to Iffin to get food, he gets up and makes his way over there.
