Walking through the town, Felix noticed that something just felt off. Everypony seemed to be moving much slower than usual, and the general atmosphere of New Hope was less cheery than on any other day.

He couldn't quite figure out what was wrong, but if it had everyone down it must have been pretty bad.

Not watching where he was going, the zebra buck nearly bumped into a cluster of ponies in the streets, barely dodging them and grinning apologetically. "Sorry everyone."

I dunno. Maybe get them something to make coffee with? Could give them part of my special blend, too.

*trips over* Oof! *rubs head and looks up* Oh, hi, Felix.

"Hey there Alex, where's everyone off to?" the zebra asked, offering a hoof to the mare to help her up.

Artemis appears
"I don't think alcohol will help any of you think clearly, in fact-"


"Artemis, not now please. We'll talk about this later okay?"


She nods
"As you wish, Azure, but please do be be careful."
She disappears

She sighs
"I will, Artemis, I will."
She looks at Felix
"It's been a rough mornin'. So, we thought we'd go and loosen up or at least clear our heads."

"Rough morning? What happened?" Felix asked nervously, thinking this may be why everyone seemed so down.

*looks at Felix sadly* Ms. War died this morning...

*Looks down when Buckler says it, still holding in her tears*

Rogue walks to the group, just when Buckler told Felix about War's death.
Hung ears a little. "Yeah, I've heard about it from grandpa."

Any high hopes that the zebra had for his day instantly dissolved, completely destroyed by the news of War's death. He may not have known her as long as the rest of New Hope, but since starting as her student when he moved to New Hope over two years before, he had gotten to know the pony pretty well, and looked up to her for how eagerly she'd taken him as a student.

His muzzle dropped into a frown, and his eyes drooped to the ground. "Oh..."

"Yeah, if ya want ya can join us, it might help ya out. Or at least keep your mind off of it."

"I don't know...can it really help? I mean, alcohol is a depressant and that just doesn't seem like what we need right now..." Felix started rambling while staring at the ground, not completely sure if he should take up the offer for drinks at a time like this. He had heard rumors that alcohol could lighten up tough times, but from the books and classes he'd been through it didn't seem like that was the effect it would give.

Not that he had any first hand experience to go off of, just those old books and things he was told by others.
