After waking early, Shayle stepped out the door to her new home, hoping to find out the layout of New Hope by the end of the day. Felix was still laying asleep back in his room, passed out on top of an open book he had borrowed from his new teacher the day before, leaving Shayle to explore alone.

She had her list; she wanted to know where the shops for weapons and food were just in case they needed to leave, where the clinic was, and above all where she could get some work to pay back the town which had so readily taken her in. She was worried it may be difficult to find work in the town, especially considering her lack of schooling and overall experience with most things, but she felt obligated to return the favor of housing.

With confidence, the mare stepped into the street, and began searching for everything on her list.

"Wait! Make sure you tell her that I'm sorry, and I'm not here to do anything rash!"

*Glances at the door* Oh, hey Saltine.
Your mother is here to see you. Should I send her in?
Did she sound mad?
No, and she told me to tell you that she's sorry, and she's not here to do anything rash.
*Turns back to the wall, uncertainty in her voice* I don't know... I guess...
Okay, I'll send her in. *Walks back out to Terra* She says she'll see you.

*Exits a shop.* Still no sign of her, I hope she's not avoiding me. *She goes to turn down a side street when she spots the Zebra.* Hey Shayle, wait up.

Terra steps into the room, eyes downcast. "Iffin, I'm sorry. I overreacted. I was wrong, and I should have known that you're old enough to make your own decisions."

She looks at Runner, unable to disguise the hate in her eyes, "Can you please leave? I'd like to talk to my daughter. Alone."

Hearing a voice behind her, Shayle turned to see the Red yelling to her. Her first thought was that she should ignore the calls, but since she had already been seen looking over, Shayle stopped walking and waited for the mare.

*Comes to a stop next to the Zebra, noting that shayle didn't look too happy to see her.* Shayle, Saks told me how you reacted to my flirting. I just wanted to say I'm sorry, I won't do it again.

Shayle's demeanor changed once she found out that Red was apologizing, loosening up slightly but still a tad annoyed with how the pony had acted the day before. "It's fine, and thank you," she told the pony warmly, but not completely honestly, unable to completely let go of her dislike of her flirting.

*Doesn't turn to face Terra* So? You wanted to talk to me about something?

She blinks. "No, that's all I wanted to say. I just wanted you to know you're always welcome, no matter what."

*Actually paying attention to Shayle's body language this time she sighs before noticing the list Shayle's carrying.* So are you looking for something? I could show you around.
