 Well it's pretty simple.  The basics are the difference between good art and bad art.  Blah blah art blah blah.  Also what makes good porn art different from bad porn art is the ability to convey emotions through the characters and such accurately.  By that I mean a lot of the bad porn art is bad porn art is that the characters look as though their emotions don't fit or match the characters or such.  Think about it as porn actors vs homemade videos; porn actors get paid to fake enjoying the sex.  If you have ever looked at lesbian porn videos of porn actors a lot of it is insincere fake romance.  In order for porn art to be good it has to look like the characters are being sincere and that they aren't faking emotions.  A lot of the major differences comes from the planning stage and how a artist attacks the way they come up with a porn drawing.  If you come up with a piece not caring about whether or not the character's emotions look fake or not then that's going to show.  When coming up with good porn you have to think about the character's emotions and such while in the planning stage otherwise it's not going to come out as a emotional piece.

 Tl:dr; If the characters look like they're faking it then it's going to look insincere and going to be bad regardless of the quality of the drawing style.

 This is just his style, every character he draws looks like that, which I personally think is amazing for FoE art.

Yeah, he's pretty good with the atmosphere, even when using simple and subtle elements, and I think he's good with pony proportions. He also works very quickly for the quality of work he puts out.
