The Chaos of Equestria - Character Creation and Plot

The Plot and Such:
How the RP will work:

- 300 years ago: The great empire Equestria fell as a strange group assassinated both princesses. Other ponies tried to take over, but none held the same dedication and love as Celestia and Luna.
20 years ago: Strangers from a far away land came and took over the area.
Recently: The land formerly known as Equestria has been changed and twisted into a combination of a variety of climates and terrain.
Today: Gizmo is waiting for the ponies who were contacted by his assistant to finally arrive at his campsite. They are all less than a few hours away.
A little birdy who goes by the name Shade (who will be granting us information every now and then but will never really be portrayed) has granted Gizmo with the information to begin your mission: the location of the four control points and a bit of explanation.
The paper Gizmo received reads as such:
To the north, south, west, and east of where Canterlot once stood will be a factory blasting a beam into the air. That same beam drops down as it reaches Canterlot. The beams combine far above Canterlot, above the clouds, and then drop down to Canterlot, fueling the shields around the city and changing the terrain of the country.
Other than that information, he knows nothing.
How the RP will work:

- I will be making enemies and the like which you'll have to fight by rolling dice. There will not be attributes or levels. Instead, you have to be (kinda) creative with your attacks and tell me how your character does them.
Ex: Gizmo lifts two screw drivers with his magic and flings them at the golem. He forces them to spin as they fly, increasing their damage. He also grabs hold of the golem's head, keeping it still. Damage is 1D4 per screw driver so 2D4 if both hit.
Enemies will also have things such as breaking out of a grip, dodge, armor, and the like. Armor will be a constant that reduces damage taken by a specific amount. On these events, I will be rolling dice online but not through the forum to keep my work lower. You'll have to trust in me.
Ex: The golem tries to break out of telekinetic grip (1D6, needs to be 2 due to its size and strength. Rolls a 4). He breaks out and tries to dodge (1D6, needs 3/5 due to size and speed. Rolls a 4). The golem is unable to dodge both but dodges one. He takes the other unprepared (-1 armor).
[Rolls 1D4 for screw driver that hit. Rolls a 3.]
Golem has 2 armor normally, but since it was taken unprepared, it only hase 1. Takes 2 points of damage.
All enemies will have a set amount of armor (if any) and health. All characters will also have health. Health will vary slightly depending on how tough the character is but will always be around 25. Armor rating will always be 0-1 for our characters, depending on how resilient they are. In the case of actual armor, it will have an armor rating of 0-2 armor and a set amount of health (20-30).
Things like sneak attacks and other such events are allowed but you must tell me that you are doing it and how the situation is. You may say the bonuses you desire but I will be the ultimate judge if it is fair or not.
Ex: Shade walks up behind the guard pony. She unsheaths her daggers and aims it at a small opening in the back of the armor. 1D6 from the dagger, double damage, pierces armor, can't be dodged.
When doing something like this, don't roll in the forum. I will roll online after determining if the bonuses are fair.

Personality: He is a fine leader and will often ask for advice. When in combat, he won't think about his actions. He tries to be serious.
Strengths: His intellect allows him to think outside the box (and inside the chimney).
Weaknesses: Unable to concentrate on many things or use any type of magic besides telekinesis. Physically frail.
Other: Doesn't really have wings. Was lazy to remove them. He has two satchels on at all times. One with screws and the other with gears.

Personality: Soft Heart almost never thinks of herself, and places everypony else first. She will do anything she can to help others, even if it endangers or hurts her.
Strengths: Very skilled in the medical field and knows how to fix most ailments and injuries.
Weaknesses: She is very easy to manipulate if she believes it will help others, and has no regard for her own well-being if another is in trouble.
Description: (Couldn't get the cutiemark to work, so just know it's a red cross with a heart in the center)
Other: She's a bit talkative

Personality: Confident, Smart
Strengths: The bending of sound. Great with almost any instrument and her magic to bend sound waves to her will, but prefers her violin over her voice and her voice over everything else. Cutie Mark is a C Clef.
Weaknesses: Not physically strong.
Description: Dark Navy Blue coat with a lighter Navy Blue for her mane and tail which are both nicely kept and clean.
Other: Tends to be soft (duh) rather than loud, but her powers allow her almost complete manipulation of sound.
Name: He has no name - he goes by whatever he has in his hoof/telekinetic grip (he's a wee bit insane.)
Species: Unicorn
Gender: Male
Personality: Playful, Excited, Crazy
Strengths: The combination and manipulation of technology and mechanics with magic. Tends to scavenge what seems like junk and put it together with bubblegum and magic into what looks like junk, but is some sort of magic machine. Cutie Mark of a giant paperclip.
Weaknesses: Normal physical strength, but isn't smart with other things besides his own magical concoctions. He can't build a machine just out of magic or just out of mechanics/electronics, it must be combined. Activation of these machines sucks magic an strength. Besides basic levitation, the only way for him to conduct his magic is through machines.
Description: IDK yet, I'll think about it while I'm at my Christmas party today.
Other: He is a bit crazy, and his weapon and machine of choice is his magic Toaster.
I will be providing a picture of them, either via my sketches (Doubt I'll find the time today) or by the pony creator thingy-magig. I can't play today, but I'll be on tomorrow.

Personality: Serious, generally appears emotionless, but extremely sensitive to things he cares about, eg. loved ones. He cherishes those who he becomes close to, and puts his comrades before himself. He has a slight sense of self-loathing.
Strengths: Stealthy, quick, and clever, Dusk is the ideal assassin. When he flies, the flapping of his wings make nary a sound, and his agility allows for quick and easy getaways. He has eluded many a bounty on his head because he has never been caught, or at least nobody has lived long enough to capture him fully. His ideal weapons are his custom dagger, various poisons, and generally anything that can be used to kill silently and effectively. Aside from his efficiency in killing, his stealth makes him ideal for information retrieval. He is an adept artist; visually, and lingually.
Weaknesses: Dusk tends to avoid open conflict on wide battlefields. He is an assassin, but not a warrior. Although he can easily escape most traps and pick cage locks with ease, he finds it very difficult to fight multiple targets in enclosed areas.
Description: Dark grey coat with a black mane, long in front short in back, usually covering at least one of his eyes, and a relatively short black tail. Cutie mark is a black quill. He carries his equipment, as well as his art and literary supplies in a dark brown satchel going around his neck and under his right wing.
Other: Tends to isolate himself from others if a conversation doesn't particularly catch his attention.

Sky walked through the woods looking for a certain campsite. She noticed the familiar light of a fire towards the right. Sky was hoping that she wouldnt need to spend anymore time here in this forest, and that this was the correct place.
