Japanese heavies are somewhere in not too distant duture.
If this thing is something to go by, they'll be wonderfully ugly and capable of being put into WH40K without any changes.

Should be... sort of similiar to the Leopard A/1? I think.

I'm really looking forward to the Japanese heavy branch for some reason. Starts with gloriously ugly interwar machines (tiers 2 - 4), then there's four flavors of the O-I that could be the Baneblade's drunk ex-con uncles (some of the multi-turret setups aren't even symmetrical), and then those even more gigantic "shore defense" tanks with armor layers like on a battleship and 140mm naval guns.

Also I've just read that there apparently won't be a big "Euro" tree, but several small ones. They'll add a Czechoslovak premium tank in the patch after the next one, and the tree later.

From what I've read / watched, it's even more competitive than the Leopard. Both of them: the AMX 30 being better than the Leopard prototype, and the 30B being better than the production Leopard.

Although I have confidence that it's going to nerfed somehow, because god forbid the French line ever had some truly competitive tanks and not just edge case niche situation specific vehicles.

There's something about putting in an advanced Conqueror instead (wat?), or making an entirely differnt branch for the Chieftain (and if so, it may even not be next year). I confus.

The CZ branch is still coming this year. I think.

Comparably better so far. Though note that I haven't done any PVP yet. I've been exclusively doing PVE by myself (but mostly with friends) and it's been pretty fun. I've heard from one of my friends that it feels like the results of PVP are still similar to that of WoT, so I haven't really been inclined to try it, but I eventually will at some point. Apparently (or so I've heard) PVE is better for gaining XP while PVP is better for getting cash. It's been pretty fair to me so far. It almost borders on "MMO raiding/quests" territory, I.E. you have to plan ahead a bit sometimes. Also, stupid people still is, and probably always will be, a problem. Last night I was on with a team of randoms and we got wiped because one of the numbskulls went and drove into a mission objective cap circle and triggered a mass of enemy tanks spawning before we had even finished driving around the area to take care of the existing group.

Low level PVE is slightly boring, though. You're locked out of Meduim difficulty unless you have a Tier 3, and Hard is locked until you get a Tier 6. There's also an Insanity difficulty, but it hasn't been implemented yet.

The different game mechanics are welcome as well. No more bullshit insta-kill arty, crew/commander leveling is different, armor composition is a factor, just to name a few.

So yeah, I'm having fun. I can't speak for PVP, but who needs that when you have your tank fun in PVE?

Oh also, a new Dealer is getting added soon, and they're supposed to have the French MBT line, so there's that if you're interested. Royal Equestrian Armored Division - Page 4 Ajsmug

On a side note, I think I also heard French and Japanese tanks are also getting added to War Thunder soon and Brits are just on the cusp of being added (there's the Brit tab and four premiums already), but unfortunately that game's also turned into a uber-Russian armor circlejerk as well...
