On an unrelated note, I liked Expendables 3 just as much as I did the first two, but I get the feeling I'm the only one here dumb and uncultured enough to actually enjoy those movies.

I'd like to know exactly what that article means by changing gender. Do they mean surgery? Or do they mean Barbara changed his name to Ben and started wearing a suit? Because disrespecting a woman and a dress I believe are two completely different things.

Sorry this going to sound really stupid, but do we know for a fact that a woman who dressed as a man but was still very much a woman treated differently then a man? I think there may be variables here not taken into account.

Based on the article, and the fact that someone was apparently convinced that one ftm guy was his own brother (as in, thought the guy before he made the change, surgically or behaviorally, was the sister of the guy post-change), I'd assume this was not a case of pantsuit versus dress dynamics. Also, it doesn't take surgery to present as a different gender, believe me.

I'm not saying there aren't issues, but the point that the video was making (which I agree with) is that modern feminists don't even seem to focus on those issues, instead seeking to be 'victims' of absolutely everything.

I think there's also some sampling bias. In just about every environment I've been in, "equality" and "Fairness" are enforced to the point where females are, if anything, favored. Around here, a woman can pretty much fucking whisper the word "sharp" and there's a permanent, nasty black mark on that dude's record, possibly to the point of deadlining his career or involuntary separation even if investigations turn up jack-diddly.

In State statistic service of Ukraine - head if IT department is woman, who rose by herself from maintaining servers to position she's now. Head of one of branches, that responsible for user's PC and maintenance of office hardware is woman. Two other heads of branches are women too. Only man head of branch is my boss, who's responsible for maintaining server's and related stuff.

Where I'm working - I don't see any discrimination.
Hell, every place I've worked before (magazine, journalist/law firm) had women if not in charge, but 'second-in-command'.

Swicked. That's some olympic level word twisting. I was confused about what they meant by changed gender. The examples I gave were the two possible examples I came up with after reading the article, not the only two I thought existed.  

It has nothing to do with whether or not I believe you and everything to do with your response essentially being "My friend agrees with that and it effects him" that doesn't add much of anything. His experiences are not everyone's experiences. It's not math you don't get the same result everytime.

As far as wages go it wasn't at all touched upon in that article. What was touched upon was how women were treated by their male counterparts after transition. I think there are multiple changes that come with going from a woman to a man. All of which could have had an effect on how their male co-workers treated them. I think simplifying it to "She's a guy now let's let him in the club" is foolish.

Personally, I think Chrysalis was just high in canon. She ate so much love that she was able to fight against Celestia (assuming Celestia didn't take a dive as usual). That cannot be good for a changeling.
