Just seems like another cupcakes story. I only read three pages, that was enough for me. I guess if you particularly like the art. But it's showstyle.

Kinda reminds me of those abridged series where they essentially are just making the characters swear. (That's kinda what cupcakes is right? Make the characters murder/torture each other for shock?)

There's an audience there, but it has limited entertainment value. Least to me. I don't know maybe it gets better or there's some kinda twist that makes it unique.

I wouldn't argue if there was a bit more dark blue and purple, but red is weird in that it works well for both heroes and villains. I think the eclipse model was altered to better suit Blackjack with red.

I wouldn't argue if there was a bit more dark blue and purple, but red is weird in that it works well for both heroes and villains. I think the eclipse model was altered to better suit Blackjack with red.

Well, the design would also have to be modified to take into account Blackjack's lack of pegasus traits. A color change would be simple compared to that, I expect.

My schooling is going the same as it always goes. I'm a poor student, which is shown by the fact that I mostly get D's, but my finals scores have always been off the charts.

Correct me if I'm wrong Swicked. I don't think he was arguing that the change was a difficult one by any means. I think he was arguing that if Cog's goal at that point was to get a replacement body it doesn't make much sense to allow the change. It says that Cogs didn't like her colors. It doesn't even make sense from a trying to fool BJ's friends stand point. Rampage still didn't recognize her and all Cognitum really needed BJ to do was to contact one of her friends before she left Thunderhead, and after she was upgraded. Which BJ assuredly would and in fact she did.

Well, red is more of Blackjack's color in general; mane color, card theme, etc. so altering it to fit her make sense.

Also, iconic or notwouldn't it be rather...illogical to just straight up Nightmare Moon? Oh yeah, its a great villain look but Cog is trying to be somewhat heroic.

Never used it myself, but every time I swung by the 2K forums for the X-Com section, whenever Long War mod pops up it's usually followed by praise.

And it usually pops up in threads along the line of "I wish X-Com has this feature" to which somebody will show up and go "The Long War mod has something similar to what you're wanting/looking for. And if it doesn't you should still give it a try."


On the topic of X-com cause I actually found myself looking up stuff about it for whatever reason (blaming TV Tropes on that) some guy beat Enemy Within on Ironman Impossible, with Not Created Equal and Hidden Potential second wave options on, without losing a single soldier.

Granted, there are tons of other second wave options he could have used to make the game harder, but beating Ironman- Impossible is a feat in itself and to not lose a single man is something else.

Allegedly, Hideaki Anno, the creator of Evangelion, who had already been suffering of depression before working on Evangelion, saw his mental state worsen as the series went on; until he had a breakdown before the series was finished. IIRC, I think it was around the time

On the other hand, the "Rebuild" series of Evangelion movies are being overseen and directed by an Hideaki Anno who has managed to get over his depression.

Which is kind of funny when you consider just how much darker the Rebuild is than the original, thematically speaking (can't say why without involving MAJOR SPOILERS).

I think Evangelion 4.04: Sequel (Not) Found is supposed to come out either later this year or in 2015, most probably the later as 3.33 came out in 2013 and I doubt Gainax is able to crank out a full-length movie anime of enough quality in a single year.

Valikdu, you should try Serial Experiment Lain, if you liked the "whatever just happened?" aspect of Evangelion.

One hears different things about Eva and it's director. One is what's mentioned above, he had a break down and it showed in the anime and other stuff like that.

I heard that his breakdown came from the fact he went into the series suffering from depression but was actually trying to treat it as he worked on the show. Oddly enough people suffering from depression accept the fact their depressed and are chill with it, but it when they actually start to treat their depression that just like mental breakdowns happen.

At least that's one thing I heard. Other things include how Rei was suppose to be disturbing but instead the fans loved her and that pissed him off. The show running out of funds so we got those weird final two episodes. And those episodes lead to him getting death threats in the mail, which he put into the End of Eva movie as freeze frame bonuses.

He's apparently gotten his life together rather well since then, which is why the Rebuild movies where a lot more upbeat and optimistic compared to the original series. At least until 3. I hear things got dark and depressing in a hurry in that one.
