The E-Net

[Aonee]

Blue lines ran through the dark nothingness, shining brightly, from end to end. Soon, another set of blue
lines ran perpendicular to the first, creating a grid pattern farther than the eye could see. Soon, the grid
began to change, it grew bulges, and depressions. These changes soon formed mountains, and valleys, and hills,
contorting the straight lines as they curve. Soon, a ground began running over the grid, green where grass
would grow, and stale gray where barren rock would be. Brown for dirt, soft aqua for water, the base-work was
laid out, and soon transformed into a more substantial environment. Soon, trees sprouted up, along with grass
in the plains. Forests grew, and snow fell on mountain peaks, as water filled into oceans and lakes and rivers.
Once the ground was finished, the sky began to change as well. It lightened from black to a soft blue, as white
tufts of cloud began scrolling through. Once all this had finished, four symbols appeared from the sky. They
knew their directives, and set to work. The bright yellow orb and soft white sphere began running over the
land, building houses and buildings and bridges, dividing the vast network into regions, and server clusters,
and individual servers, setting a framework for those not yet come before retreating to opposite ends of the
sky. The teal orb began coursing through the land, adding the soft sound of rushing water, and the breeze
whistling though grass, rooting listening and seeing routines everywhere before falling into a tall, tall spire
to look over all and monitor. The purple orb went straight away, hidden, as it's work had not yet begun. It's
work would start later, when the AIs began populating the system.

Current Rules:

Crystalane walked down the main street of Ponyville. Looking left and right, the town still felt a bit deserted, but the AI knew that would soon change. True, other servers were being populated quicker, but she knew it was just a matter of time before her server began to see its own influx of residents.

Over Ponyville, a lone butterfly was flying in the gentle breeze.

It flew, and soon enough, it landed on a barrel, behind one of the town's building.

There, the butterfly changed form, transforming into a mosquito, and in a few minutes the once clean water of the barrel was now full of mosquito larvae.

Then as it came to be, the mosquito turned into a hummingbird, and flew away.

Crys watches the hummingbird fly away. "Okaay... That's new. Must be from Twille." She walks over to the barrel, and looks in it. "What are we even supposed to do with this now?"

// This is a barrel full of mosquito larvae. They seems to be growing along just fine. Look ! They are even eating each other ! Cannibalism, it's so cute.

"... Well, Twille's an admin, just like Celle and Lunar. Guess I'll just let that do it's thing." Crys walks away from the barrel and back down the street.

As the hummingbird flew away, in went in the direction of the Everfree Forest.

In the Everfree...

Sitting on a branch, the bird slithered away as it transformed into a snake.

Dropping to the ground, the snake turned into a swarm of bees, blue flowers appearing everywhere they landed.

Soon, these blue flowers where everywhere in those woods.

But, as the flowers grew, they were eaten up by the very ground itself. The Everfree forest was not governed by the same laws as the rest of the E-net. It's code was spontaneous, taking all that stepped into it as a part of itself.

The bees assembled themselves into a crow, which in a few flaps of its wings soared above the forest, taking flight back to Ponyville.

A house materializes, but fits in perfectly, as if it's always been there.

Kalypso and Kronos step outside.

"This is new." Says Kronos.

"So is everything." Adds Kalypso.

((Close enough. ))
Soon, a bright light forms in front of the pair, as if the sun itself was coming down before them. When it faded, the tall, regal, powerful form of Celle stood in front of them. She smiled.
"Hello. Welcome to The E-Net."

[Scyto Harmony]

"What are you?" Kronos asks.

"What are we?" Kalypso adds.

"Who am I?" They ask together, then blink in surprise and look at each other, surprised at how the question sounded when then said it together.

[Aonee]

((If you want them to be, yes. At least equineish.))
"I am Celle. I am one of the admins that oversee all of the operations and functions within the E-Net. You two, like I, are Artificial Intelligence units. Formed from code, manipulating your own at a subconscious level to do your tasks." Celle nods at Kronos. "You are Kronos." She then nods at Kalypso. "And you are Kalypso."

[Scyto Harmony]

"Oh..." Kronos says, slowly, "I think I understand. Sort of. Everything's moving very fast."

Kalypso shrugs, "Are we the only ones here?"

[Aonee]

Celle shakes her head. "No, there are others who have already come to this server. You will find them around town, if you look."

[Scyto Harmony]

"Right," Kalypso says, cheerily, "We'll get looking then!" She drags Kronos behind her without waiting for a response from Celle.

[Aonee]

Celle simply vanishes in another bright flash of light, returning to floating across the sky as the sun.

Crystalane is still walking through town, looking for any new arrivals.

[Scyto Harmony]

"Hey! Hey!" Kalypso calls out to her, "HEY!"

Kronos is still being dragged behind her.

[Aonee]

Crys turns around and, upon seeing the pair, smiles and waves at them. "Oh hello. You two must be new here."

[Scyto Harmony]

"Yup." She nods, "I'm Kalypso, and this is--"

"I can say my own name!" Kronos snaps, angrily. "I'm Kronos, or so I've been told."

[Harmony Ltd.]

As any other bird would do, the crow, back into town, perches itself on the roof of a nearby house, observing the new arrivals.

[Aonee]

Crys nods. "Welcome to the E-Net then. I'm Crystalane, I run the med-hall here."

[Scyto Harmony]

"Med-Hall? So we can be harmed in this virtual reality? Is it dangerous?"

[Aonee]

((Just a quick note: there's no 'outside' contact in the system, so none of them know about it.))
Crys shrugs a little with her wings. "Dunno really. But the Med-hall also does other things, like storing back-ups and performing regular check-ups. Plus, if any of your code actually does become corrupted, just see me and I'll probably be able to fix it."

((Yes it is. I was just saying that before it came up so we would have it for down the road. They know they're in a computer, like we know we're in a universe.))
