((Okay, I'm going to do this in short forms, explaining one point I'm trying to get across at a time. The reasons for this is so your character can ask questions so it feels more like an actual conversation.))

Okay, when I was out earlier, I found another deer surveying your fort.

"Another deer was it a friend of yers or somethin'?"
Guard glances back and see's the kids still playing.

No no, she was from the blacktail tribe, this is apparently their territory.
((Okay Guard, the key word in this sentence was "she"))

Guard smirks
"So, ya met a doe. Ya didn't sleep with her did ya? Or is she a past lay that got pregnant and now ya have a kid that ya ain't seen?"
He shakes his head
"Anyways, I never knew that there was a deer tribe here. Maybe those drunks all those years ago were right. Was she lookin' fer somethin'?"

*Willow blushes and backpedals at Guard's comment*

Wh-what? No, I've never met her before in my life, a-and I would never ruin my relationship with Violet by sleeping with someone else.

*Hears his second comment and comes back to his senses*

*Clears throat* No, I doubt she was looking at anything specific. She was probably sent out by her tribe to scout the area before they begin to make contact with the local pony population.

But that's not what's got me concerned, it was something she said.

Guard chuckles
"Well I'll be damned, Willow's stopped sleepin' with every mare that walks. I ain't dyin' or somethin' am I?"
He stops and looks at Willow
"Sorry, had ta get that outta my system. Now, what did she say that's got ya all worked up?"

She said that a call for a tribal court in two weeks had been made. This is a big thing Guard. It's a meeting of the leaders of all of the deer tribes. The last time one had been formed, it was to decide that the deer should cut off all connections to the ponies and zebras and retreat to our valleys.

Not only would it be a sight to behold, *rubs the back of his head* but I kinda have to make a personal appearance or my tribe will suffer.

Guard facehooves
"Oh fer Luna's sake Willow, what did ya do? Ya didn't piss someone off did ya?"

Well, it's like this. The Whitetails and the Blacktails aren't exactly on the best of terms, and, under different circumstances, me being in their territory would, more or less, be considered an act of aggression and, well, it could startasmallwarbetweenourtribes.*Smiles guiltily*

Guard sighs
"I swear dealin' with children is easier then keepin' track of ya sometimes."
He looks at Willow
"Okay, so ya need ta go ta this meetin' and figure out somethin' ta say ta prevent a war. Well, do ya think they'll believe truth? Because I don't think any of us could go ta that meetin' ta back ya up, unless ya know a way ta sneak us in."
He looks back at the kids still playing and smiles.

Well that's the thing.

Since Court was called, it means that all fighting between the tribes must immediately cease, with the cause of the fighting being brought up and resolved peacefully during the court.

Now, the issue of me coming into the Blacktails' territory will be brought up, and if I'm not there to explain, the Whitetails will have to pay restitution for my mistake. There won't be a war, but my tribe won't be happy with me.

But if I were to at least show up, than only I would have to pay and my standing in my tribe will not have changed, and if you and the rest were to come with me to reenforce my side of the story, I could be found innocent of wrongdoing and not be forced to pay anything.

And as for you not being welcomed in the first place, you could not be more wrong. The most likely reason for the heads of the tribes to call for court is that they are wanting to decide how to go about reestablishing contact with the rest of the world, and having a diverse group like ours their to offer insight would be a great asset.

Guard looks at Willow
"If ya say so, then I'll go and back ya up. Yer only up here cause a me anyways. 'Sides, it sounds like it'll be fun."
He smiles

Thank you, and I'm sure you could help me convince the rest of the group to come along, the more witnesses the better.

Anyways, the Tribal Court apparently isn't set to begin for another two weeks, so we should be able to wrap things up both here and with that gryphon Gawd, and maybe do some other things as well. Moody's been wanting to go back to his farm hasn't he?

((Yeah, we've been putting off going to Moody's farm long enough. I say that's the next thing we do. And two weeks ought to be enough time to do that, talk to Gawd, and even visit Mav's daughter at the AJR base.))

"Yeah, he's been wantin' ta do that. Alright Willow, we can get goin' tamorrow night, I still have a couple things I need ta clear up here, and I wanna give everyone at least one more day ta recover."
Guard makes his way back to the common room.
"Don't worry, Willow, we'll help ya out."
He goes back to his kids and starts to play with them again.

((Oh, you don't know how eager Mav will be to visit that base really soon enough. Though, I need to plan actuall 'quest' there, if you need one.
