S4 Episode 14 - Filli Vanilli

Well, since no one has made it yet, here's a thread.

First off, loved the music. Hoping that they make an extended version of the songs. Favorite is probably the ones that she synched with Big Mac.
Continuity is always welcome, especially one reaching back to Season One.
Also loved the fact that Fluttershy didn't immediately get over her anxiety problems within half an hour, so there's actual progression for the character, instead of having her hit a reset button for personality should they ever make an anxiety related episode. I'm chalking up the modeling career from Season One as the fact that all she needed to do was walk around and have pictures taken of her, instead of performing, such as in Hurricane Fluttershy.

Definitely want to start her off with small crowds first, then move up. Don't drop her into a concert hall or anything that grand scale. The easy way out would be to blindfold her.

I don't think they did anything special with this episode's animation. Story is good.
Minor note: Um... Anyone reminded of the Sweating Towel Guy for Big Mac at points, such as at the school?

Then there's Pinkie.

She frustrated me so much in this episode. Are you sure this is the same Pinkie that refuses to prank her because of her fragile emotions? The same one that cared about her when Gilda yelled at her? The only thing that I could come up with to justify it is because she got too, um... (Happy? Excited?) and she turns her empathy filter off, such as in Cranky Doodle ("This donkey is really, really, bald!") Kinda wished they would tell her off. At least they shouted at her to shut up.

This episode was my favorite so far this season.    
It had amazing music, character development, characters other than the mane-6 doing something, and continuity.  I could list off all the other things I liked but I don't think it really matters.
My only problems with the episode were that Flutter's friends were surprised she didn't want to sing in front of other ponies. (shyness is kind of her thing  ) And I didn't like how extreme Pinkie was with Fluttershy either. however, I didn't feel like these took away from the episode at all, they were just nitpicks of mine.

All these things I loved!:

Just a really good episode. I am happy she didn't get her 'key' since she didn't do anything with her element of harmony (that seems to be what they are doing this season)

The animation crew is full of a bunch of trolls who like messing with the fandom.


On another note, Zippoorwill and her dad, were their character designs based on somebody in real life? They seem to be a little too off model not to be.

P.S. Is it just me, or did Zippoorwill seem like a Mini Pinkie Pie?
