Viktor leans in close and gives him a rare toothy grin. His voice is a low rumble, "They say 'no' to Viktor?"

"I...I think I am ready...to tell you all that is. I should probably start from the beginning, shouldn't I?" Charcoal said from the corner of the room.

[Scyto Harmony]

Mince shrinks back a bit, "You make a convincing argument." He concedes, "But you're sure Clock'll want to help too? I mean, I don't know her very well, but you think she'd be willing to risk her life for my family - who might no even be alive?" He shudders at the thought.

"Wow... I just... wow. Did they not teach you about the old world down there?

Someone needs to write a book with all this stuff...

The ministries were the government. There were six of them and each one was in charge of it's own things. I can't quite remember all of them at the moment.

There was one in charge of the hospitals and stuff. The Ministry of Peace.

Then there was one in charge of industry and businesses. Ministry of Technology.

And there was one that studied magic. Ministry of Arcane Sciences.

I can't remember the other three at the moment."

[Tytan]

"Clock help. She feel bad if not help. Might feel even badder if family not live, but she feel worse if do nothing."

Cast continues to wander the town. Confidence is his norm, but his last encounter just made things awkward. He has a slightly annoyed expression.

[Tytan]

Clock looks over at Charcoal and sits down near him. "Start wherever you think is right hun."

[Scyto Harmony]

"I... Thank you, Viktor. If there's anything I can do to help the two of you, just ask."

[Aonee]

Dr. Octo chimes in. "There's also the Ministry of Wartime Technology, headed by Applejack, the Ministry of Image, heading propaganda, lead by Rarity, the Ministry of Morale, by Pinkie Pie, and the Ministry of Awesome, by Rainbow Dash."

[Tytan]

Viktor nods and makes a positive rumble sound.

[Orm]

Searchlight sits down to listen to Charcoal.

[Aonee]

Crusher makes some sort of sushing noise to Oc, then sits down and looks at Charcoal.

[XT Vengeance]

"I...well...I should probably should start with how I got this mechanical hoof. I...uh...my family was killed by raiders. We...were making a trip to Manehattan with our caravan. We...were almost there. They...they killed them all. I...I still have nightmares about it."

"I...they chewed off my hoof...and...and they...they gouged out my eye," Charcoal had his head down, his body trembling.

[Tytan]

Clock sympathetically trembled as well. She nervously glanced at her own hoof and Charcoals.

[Ketchup]

"That does explain a few things. Who gave you your cybernetics?"

[XT Vengeance]

"The...ponies at Tenpony saved me...but they took everything I owned except my old rifle. I...I still have nightmares about that. I...I can still feel their teeth," Charcoal said quietly.

[Aonee]

Crusher looks up at Charcoal and cocks its head.
Octo looks down at it. "The raiders, Crush, not the Tenponies. "

[Orm]

Searchlight listened to Charcoal's story. He never imagined that that was how Charcoal got his cybernetic hoof. He didn't know what to say about it, he remained silent.

[XT Vengeance]

"When...when I finally made it back to my hometown...they...they called me a monster," Charcoal said, tears forming in his eyes. "They...they didn't want me around."

[Tytan]

Clock silently rubbed his shoulder and looked at him with pleading eyes.

[Orm]

"Why would they call you that?"

[XT Vengeance]

"I...I don't know. All I know is that....is that it hurt. I charged off to the nearest raider camp to...I don't know. I would have died if Scorch hadn't shown up," Charcoal said with a small smile at his feathered friend.

"Squawk. Squawk squawkity squaw."

"I guess you could say we both kind of saved each other that day."

[XT Vengeance]

"We had a good life for a while. Made a good living off of scavenging. We also made sure to take down every raider nest we saw. Ended up clearing a nice caravan route. Over time we fixed up an old apartment building overlooking the bay," Charcoal said with a slight smile.

"But it...it didn't last."

[Tytan]

Clock rests her head on his shoulder and nuzzles him softly.

[Orm]

"What happened?"

[XT Vengeance]

"I saved Spare Change's life," Charcoal said, lowering his head.

[Tytan]

Clock takes her head off his shoulder and looks up at him with confused eyes.

[Orm]

"You saved somepony? And how exactly is that a bad thing?" He asked, slightly confused.

[XT Vengeance]

"I...she...she was special to me, and because of that she was taken. I...I failed her."
