"Wait...Ditzy is alive?" Charcoal asked, incredulous.

"Sure is, she came back an hour or two after you all left. Sorry about the mix up," Skippy explained as he scratched his mane. "Apparently they took an unplanned detour."

"Ah'll be back in a bit."He walks out of the room and goes to Plot armor"Sir, if ya put the stronger plates in my coat, how long would it take ya?"

"I could have it back to you the day after tomorrow."

Shadow stops to think"...Really don't wanna get sick again..."He sighs"Never mind then sir, ah guess ah'll just take a set of leather armor ta wear under this then."

"Alright, it'll be 200."

"That's good. Uh...goodbye," Charcoal said awkwardly, leaving the shop. Charcoal rushed out leaving no time for a response. He made his way through the buildings until he found a secluded spot. Charcoal laid down behind the dilapidated building, his memories flooding back to him.

Shadow takes off his old vest"And if ah give ya this?"

"150 with the trade."

She exited her room and made her way through the lobby. She then turned herself towards absolutely everything.

She stood at the entrance watching the ghoul behind the counter for a while before stepping up to it. "I'm looking for medical supplies."

"Um... are you okay?" Lotus asked quietly as she peered around the corner at Charcoal.


As she approaches the door, 'Clock' finds it locked. Ditsy looked around the corner and smiled. "Sorry, I'll be closed until tomorrow while I hand out the stuff I got during my trip today."

"Thanks."He gives the vest and the caps

Quiver enters Plot Armor and waits for Shadow to be done.

[CamoBadger]

"You're welcome," the stallion replied and passed the armor over.

[Charisma 6 (3+1)]"I'm fine. I just...uh...fell," Charcoal lied.

[CamoBadger]

"You're a terrible liar," Lotus replied and cautiously trotted over to Charcoal. "Do you want some company? I can just sit here if you don't want to talk."

"Ohhh." She sounded disappointed. She turned away from Ditzy and walked away.

Shadow takes the armor and walks away from the counter"Quiver."He nods, then makes his way back to the Inn. Once there he takes off his coat to slide on the leather armor, then puts his coat on and pulls his hood up before making his way back to his room.

Quiver nods back to Shadow, and walks up to the counter.
"I don't suppose you could make this vest more protective?"

[CamoBadger]

"Yeah, I can do that. I've got light armor I can put in there, or some medium plates. Any opinion on which you'd like?"

Charcoal didn't look up to the mare. He was silent for a while. "Why do you care? Why care what happens to an asshole like me?" he asked her softly.

"Because you saved ponies from my home, and because you ran off to help my sister even after I said you didn't have to. Because you're a good pony, even if you don't believe it," she responded quietly.

She made her way up to the clinic and tested the door.

[Ketchup]

"Medium plating, please."
He takes the vest off, and notices the massive difference in cleanliness of his sleeves to the area his vest covered.
"Can you get the blood out of my jumpsuit?"

[CamoBadger]

"Alright, I'll have it ready tomorrow afternoon," the stallion replied and took the vest. "Sorry, I don't do cleaning. Ditsy might be able to do that, but then again it's hard to clean much of anything out here."

The door to the clinic opens easily.

[Ketchup]

Quiver puts 400 caps on the counter.
"Thanks."
He trots back to the tavern.

"I'm not a pony, I'm a monster," Charcoal said quietly. He curls up into a ball on the ground.

Lotus sighed and sat down beside him. "Why do you think that?"

She steps through the door and up to the counter. "Hello?"
