*watches Shayle hold Pinks with a sad smile, when he snaps to attention and remembers that Sakura had just said something earlier* Oh, um...yeah...I guess you heard, huh Sakura...

Yea, I did... Like I said, I'm really sorry about it...

Pink's little hooves reached out trying to touch Shayle's nose.

Shayle giggled and cooed to the filly, completely lost to everything around her.

*sighs and looks down at the table* Thanks...

Pinks let out a couple of short giggles.

Shayle chuckled again and looked up to Red. "Thank you...she's so sweet."

((So Red doesn't appear to be a giant prick I'm going to say she knows nothing about the miscarriages.))

"You're welcome." She gives Shayle a warm smile. "I bet you'd make a great mom Shayle. You two should try for one of your own."

"Oh...yeah, um," Shayle frowned and looked back down at Pinks. "We're...we're trying."

She cocked an eyebrow at Shayle and turned to Buck. Her questioning look turned to a happy one she playfully punched Buck's shoulder. "Why didn't you tell me Buddy?"

*smiles a little* W-Well, like you said, it's been a while. Really, we were hoping for it to be kind of a surprise to everyone once things were underway. *looks down* But...things haven't exactly been going as planned...

Red's ears fold back and her expression turns to one of concern. "Is something wrong, bud?"

*looks up at Red* ...We've been trying for a while. A very long while. But...its not working...Shayle just had another miscarriage the other day...and...*walks over to Shayle and holds her*...we found out that there's no way she can properly conceive a foal...

*Gasps a little as she hears Buck, almost dropping the plate of flapjacks onto the table*
Oh, I'm so sorry...

Her ears fold back further. "I'm really sorry to hear that Buck." She gives him and Shayle a sympathetic look.

Shayle frowns as her eyes start to tear up. She offers Pinks back to Red, not comfortable holding the filly while she borders on breaking down again.

Red takes Pinks back carefully. "I'm sorry..."

*rubs Shayle's shoulder, trying to console her* Actually, that's kind of what we wanted to talk to you two about...We have something we'd like to ask you about. *looks at Sakura holding the flapjacks and takes a deep breath* But, it can wait until after breakfast, if that's fine with you.

"I'm not sure what we can do for you. But I'll do what I can." She turns to Sakura. "Babe, how are those pancakes coming along?"

[CamoBadger]

"It's okay..." Shayle replied to Red. "Thanks for letting me hold her."

[Guest]

She smiles at Shayle. "Anytime."

[Aonee]

*Sets the pancakes down on the table* All ready.

[RoboRed]

Thank you, Sakura. *grabs a few pancakes and begins to eat*

Shayle turned to the table and pulled her chair beside Buckler, hesitantly taking one pancake and eating.

"Babe? Mind holding Pinks while I eat?"

[Aonee]

Of course, love. *Takes Pinks and holds the baby in her wings, cradling her close to her face*

Pinks squirmed a little nestling herself further into her mother's wings.

"Thanks." She grabs a few pancakes and digs in. "These are great babe."
