I don't know, I wasn't told very much about the situation, and I have not been able to look into it farther yet. But I'm assuming we should at least be able to get to a shoreline.

Because that'd be directly into the heavily fortified main base of our enemy, filled with new "Special Forces" that are apparently a match for even the best Shinigami.
