She flinches with a pained expression on her face, "He tried for months and months to bring her back. He was only a little colt, but he'd keep trying. Our father would beat him every time he tried, but he just kept trying.

Eventually he just decided that nopony could defy death." She sighs, "So he always got pissed off when the other kids told ghost stories, and such."

The rubs her eyes, "He's trying to convince himself that I don't exist, because to him the fact that I'm alive means he failed in bringing mom back."

(( It's less annoying in some ways and more in others.

We have less adds, and they're less obtrusive, but we also have three parties to put up with.

Our elections are less annoying in our candidates (Especially since our governments work differently - a Prime minister has no power compared to what a President has) but more so in our voters.

Only the elderly vote in our country (thankfully that's fast changing) So the Conservative party always has it in the bag. The young people complain about our voices not being heard, but then again, only about something like 7% of people under 30 here, vote.

But it's been getting worse. Just last election, the conservative party actively broke the rules in a major way - and fucking got away with it.

So, it's hard to compare, but ours is probably just as obnoxious as yours - just in a different way. ))
