"I don't really do much," Shayle replied, looking into the town to try and think of something she'd done recently. "Sometimes I spend time with Felix, but not as much as I used to..." she said nostalgically, still staring into some unknown point in town.

Fine! The only reason I agreed to this friends with benefits thing is because I thought eventually you'd want to get back together. *She turns back to her alcohol.* ........clearly I've been wasting my time.

"Hey, don't be sad." She gives Shayle reassuring smile. "He's grow up, he has friends, with whom he spend his free time." She thinks for a bit. "Tell you what. If you want, I can do few double-shifts and you could spend more time with Felix."

Flame walks out of a small, dark side room, shaking his head. He walks to a nearby sink and washes his hooves. Looking around, he spots Ranger. "Uh...you want something, kid?"

Shayle's eyes widened, and her voice sounded brighter than usual. "Rogue...thank you, but...I couldn't ask you to do that. It wouldn't be fair." The zebra's voice grew more serious and stern as she turned down the offer, not wishing to make the not-an-alicorn sit out in the tower alone for such a long time in a day.
Plus, she needed the caps, and taking a day or two off could ruin any chance she and Felix had at getting a place of their own.

"If you don't want day or two off, you could go now or on our next shift for a few hours, I'll cover you..or try to smooth things with unc-- sheriff Flame Thorn, if something goes wrong." She smiles a little. "Or ask grandpa to do it instead of me. Really. Family - it's something important..I...I have only my grandpa..I hardly can remember how did my mother and father looked like." Sore grimace flashed across Ro's face for a second. "Spend as much time as you need with Felix. I don't think they'll cut your pay for few hours of reasonable absence...you could saw something in distance and went check it. " Ro winks to Shayle.

He checks a marshal badge.
"1940's i was a marshal for 3 years, so seems i have some knowledge"

Shayle turned back to Rogue, smiling thinly and nodding once. "Thank you Rogue," she told the pony warmly. "I'll do that tomorrow, he was a little busy with some mines or something today."
