Well, I know I don't have much reason to pry, really I never do, but she's a heart healer. She specializes in helping others get over whatever trauma they've had to go through, be it torture, loss of limb, rape, *She shudders on that one* she can probably help, as long as you'll let her.

"Your Grandpa?" She snickers, "who the hell is he? It doesn't matter, heres the one thing You need to know to do this."

She levitates the brace of pistols up, having lifted them effortlessly as she did with the PDA and Smoke bomb.

The guns practically fall apart at the flash of her horn. magazine, barrel, spring slide and receiver all separate, but organized. Her horn flashes againa nd the weapons are reassembled. "You have to know how to take a weapon apart. Pick pocketing is my special talent you know. You have to have good smooth skills to do it so others don't notice when you do this. " She levitates up the PDA again and slips it back in the Teen Guards pocket.

"I know everything you have on you, when I use magic on you, i can feel it, and in the same way I feel the weapon itself. I am familiar with most weapons assemblies."

"This is my lesson to you, subtly and quickness and misdirection." She indicates with a hoof at the pistols in Rogues holsters, replaced like they weren't even removed.

*She starts to trot in the direction of her house, and calls over her shoulder.* Saks, Shayle you coming?

Moody finishes up finishes up sharpening the blade and goes back down to the handle.
"Hmmm... wonderglue and duct tape to keep it steady and hold it in place and something along the handle for gripping.." he mutters to himself as he thinks of what needs to be done.

Moodstone simply nods.
"I...I know it's still dangerous out in the waste.. but why does she steal? It is getting better out there? Right?"

"It's not always like that out there. Better in the civilized places, but in places where the military aren't present, it's just as bad as it was before the Stable Dweller left her stable. Stealing is one of the only ways for a foal to keep alive out there, turns out shes a natural for it. Old habits die hard, shes been at it for about fifteen sixteen years now. I've only known her for about six." The Minotaur grunts, "Dise is not a place for foals."

((understandable, but there is a history to her so don't call it into question, the followers didn't actually take full responsibility for the foals don't you think? if i recall serenity wasn't exactly protected from slavery))

"Wow, nice." Here eyes quickly flash with golden light and returns to normal. She repeats almost everything almost same as Screwdriver did, except she nearly drops parts of her guns. "Ugh..I need more practice with this" Sigh. "and learn how to reassemble my guns."
"As for grandpa, he's a sheriff of this town. You won't miss him, if you see him. Big, brown unicorn, with same coloured mane and tail as mine, he's name is Maverick."

How Sakura had seen that it wasn't just awkwardness that made Shayle tense up, the zebra would never know. Even stranger was that the pony seemed to know more about her issue than she did. If it even was an issue. So she was cautious and on edge, she'd had a stressful day...stressful week...stressful life...

The mare turned to look at Felix, nodding him toward Red. "Go ahead and meet the teacher, I'll catch up."



With a fast nod, the colt ran off to follow Red to meet her mother, grinning heartily.



Once he was far enough away, Shayle turned back to Sakura, meeting her eyes. "What kind of 'heart healing' does your mother due? Potions? Herbs?" Her voice remained low despite her brother already being out of earshot, nervous that he may here his sister's conversation.

Screwdriver blinks hard a few times, as the name echos in her head. A dream comes for a moment, unbidden. She shakes it off. "Maverick..." Her voice trails off. The grabs her stuff up, "Nice try kid. I might want to meet your Grandpa after all."

Moodstone just sits there and nods, thinking over what Minos said.

"Welp, just gotta let the handle set and it'll be read. Now to get on thta mare's armor."
He walks over to the other workbench and looks over the barding.
"She wasn't kidding on it being in bad shape. Son, mind getting some of the leather as I grab the armor plates?"

Moodstone nods and floats out the leather and places it on the workbench."

"Oh, I know somethin' we can do! I could teach you some obscure Gryphon and pony mythology. Wouldn't that be fun!
She gets a wide smile and her eyes light up.

More like a shoulder to cry on, someone to listen to whatever you've had to go through. Before you doubt her though, it works. I mean, a pony doesn't get a cutie mark of a heart for nothing.

Quest perk added: Copycat (Rank 1) - Copying is not theft. By observing others as they cast spells, you can quickly understand, how other spell works and 'copy' it. With Rank 1 you can 'copy' one spell, it will be much weaker, than original. 'Copying' new spell will erase previous one.

Shayle dropped her gaze and began scanning around the ground, searching between the stones as if they would suddenly spell out what she should do. "I...I'm not sure..."she mumbled nervously.

Minos inspects Ruth as it sets up and dries not touching it. He watches the leather get worked and shuddrs as a memory passes briefly. "You say you can set that up to stop up to a .50?"

*Puts a hoof on Shayle's shoulder; she may not have her mother's touch, but she hoped it would be comforting anyway*

"Let me give you one more piece of wisdom kid, You gonna fuck up a lot in life. Shit happens lots of shit and when it does, watch as it hits the fan and try to laugh at it. Anyway, you should get with your Uncle to learn to care for your weapons, honestly no point in having a gun if you can't care for it."

Screwdriver shakes her head noncommittally, "I'm heading back to the Reapir shop. "
She flashes her horn and the weapons reassemble.

The touch of Sakura's hoof caused a light shudder to ripple through Shayle's body, not nearly the reaction she'd gotten from Red's comment, but still more than she thought was normal.

"I guess I could give it a try...just...I don't want Felix to find out..." the zebra stammered, a trace of worry in her voice.

*Pulls her hoof away* Well, it'd probably be much easier without the weight you're carrying on your shoulders, right?

*She steps into her house and walks into the living room where her mom was lying on the couch sifting through a few notes.* Hey mom I brought you a new student, He's very excited about learning.

*War smiles as she floats her notes to a nearby table, she looks over at the Zebra colt.* Are you? I don't remember seeing you in my class. You haven't been playing hooky have you?

He looks over the plates of armor he has and picks out those that'll offer maximum protection while still being light.
"Though I will make it so that her heart, lungs and spine will have the most protection."

"Maybe..." Shayle lifted her head back up, trying not to look down or unsure. "I think I'd like to talk to your Mother...but only if it works." She wasn't sure why it was important to her to point that last part out, but she felt that she needed Sakura's assurance that she wouldn't be wasting her time.



"Hooky?" Felix asked War, raising an eyebrow to her. "What is hooky?"
