The image above consumes me. it's brightness contrasting on the darker greens and hues of blue in a most subtle way.
The openness of it all is my mind.
the whole thing is my mind. calm, peaceful, serene.

Good font, the brain's natural affinity for problem solving (match concepts to letter combinations, get a free shot of happy chemicals from the brain!), and it's not impossible that some words were constructed for their aesthetics. Any of those things might do it, in part... there could be more reasons, too.Kippershy wrote:Why do words look so pretty?
Here's a thing: Your situation reminded me of this scene. It's not a perfect match, of course, 'cos you made jell-o, not jelly, but still. Fun!
Okay, more questions: have you heard about how friggin' smart crows are?

I can't get the font I want... but have you ever seen Donnie Darko? Cellar Door.
Yes, crows are stupidly smart (lol, stupid and smart in the same sentence...) and I have indeed heard all about their intelligence, ability to solve puzzles with tools they've never come across before and the like. simply astonishing.
Right now I'm astonished at the way humans have gone. how we have evolved into creatures of technology and adapted to such a way of life, despite being nothing more then slightly better equipped monkeys.
my trip has shown me many a good thing such as the rainforest inside my mind.

Like, there should be an otherworldy force that makes everyone do shrooms once every three or four months. the whole world on one day, united in shrooms.
imagine the peace and tranquillity of everyone understanding they could just go about their lives in peace and happiness and without greed, we would come to world peace.

I'd suggest corned beef hash, but if left unattended that stuff can start a fire (I learned this the interesting way... for the record, it still tasted fantastic).Kippershy wrote:I'm hungry.
You're probably right about the world peace thing, to be honest, though I think shrooms might be a trigger for schizophrenia, so that'd be bad. Also, glad to see you're enjoying yourself. :)

It amazes me how big a following MLP has gotten.
It takes me effort right now to remember that we're a small section of it all, and that there's a whole amazing amount of amazing people who do amazing things - artists, composers, writers - everything you can think of.
We're all adults too. now just children, adults with jobs and lives who simply love the amazing freedom it offers in escape from the daily grind.
god this is so beautiful, so soft, so lovely.
I can taste blue and its a sweet sweet taste.

That's definitely true (the bit about MLPFIM - the synaesthetic qualities I get from blue aren't primarily sweet).Kippershy wrote:It amazes me how big a following MLP has gotten.

Just realised I posted in the wrong thread, LOL
"I have just met with Crimson, and Cherry.
We discussed plans and dreams.
We've agreed upon what will be.
He
inspires me. He is absolutely amazing, and I honestly love him, both as
my child, but also as someone who admires the things he has done and
will do."
and now I'm in a whole 'nother place
my leg... it fascinates me.
it's meat and filled with beans, cabbage, sprouts, onions...
my leg is filled with them. grass too.

I have a question that I just randomly thought of right now. Regardless of whether you're still high on shrooms or not, what are your thoughts on a possibility of life after death? (InB4 Religious shitstorm)

I'm in a weird intermission between out of the trip and still in it. A huge shame since I'd expected that I'd be in this all day...though it has felt like an entire day already, I admit. I am exhausted and may take a nap or something.
Anyway - yes, to the point.
I believe in a... mixture of Buddhism (Buddhist myself) and spirits staying around.
I believe most souls reincarnate with next to no knowledge of their past lives (nothing more then a sense that something feels familiar, no actual memories or such)
Though occasionally they will stick around in a place, or with a person, because they are either "meant to be" with them or they are that strongly disputed over something.
I don't believe in the whole poltergeists nor do I believe in speaking to the dead through "psychic powers" or that psychics even exist - I'm a weird sort.

Yeah. I was kinda expecting some crazy, shroom-fuelled antics, or that it would at least last longer than a couple of hours. Seems a shame, but there isn't much you can do.
Back on topic, I also have similar beliefs. Now that you mention it, I have sometimes had the urge to go to certain places...like something awaits me there, or that something of a past life resides there. It's, to me anyway, the most feasible situation for life after death. I don't really think about it too much.
Meh, can't always follow everything precisely. Sometimes you have to make your own modifications to things like that, or something just doesn't end up making sense, or it starts interfering with something else. It's like following someone's instructions for doing or making something, but realising that you can do two steps in one, or that some steps can be bypassed completely. You end up making your own version of things.
Also, on an unrelated topic [not that there ever really was a topic lolololol], have you ever had a dream that's actually happened? Seems like an odd question, but I can't be the only person that I know that it has happened to.

All the time. I've had about... between twenty and thirty such occurrences - which I know doesn't sound all the time, but given the likelihood of it and all - it is.
Sometimes I'll even know I have to say something to fit into the scene that's already played out in my head - despite having seen it a year beforehand or something.

Also- still kind've tripping now. though nothing major and it's a real shame.
I was seriously hoping for more visuals or something, but it's been nice all the same. Still, my fault for not going for the stronger breed when I knew I could handle that one. At least I know I can handle 45g though - I'll go for the stronger breed with the higher chance of visuals next time.
I do feel renewed though.

Well, it may not have been as trippy an experience as intended, but you have learned something this day. Better luck next time! I look forward to it.

Fascinating. But I can't help but ask, sorry, but...
Did you actually just use them? Because your comments seem pretty stereotypical for someone "going on a trip". Maybe those stereotypes are correct?
Forgive me for my ignorance.

(For the record, I have no idea what I'm actually talking about, having only read reports ABOUT this topic rather than the actual studies themselves, which is absolutely terrible) Interestingly enough, there may well be a social/cultural component to drug use and how it affects people! I know this has been shown with alcohol - many affects, like lowered inhibitions, are quite possibly due to how people expect to be affected. It's not that they're faking symptoms or anything like that - it's just that people are complicated. To me, at least, this would explain a lot about a lot of hallucinogens, though the study was of alcohol and not other substances. For instance, peyote trips and the cultural significance thereof to certain Native American tribes (IIRC).ketchup504 wrote:Fascinating. But I can't help but ask, sorry, but...

Again, I'm not sure I'm explaining any of this correctly. But I feel like the "stereotypical" bit might actually be an important part of how drugs affect the mind.

It is very possible to feel something because you think you can, like how yesterday, I was imagining spikes going into my leg and I could feel the sensation. Without pain, it was very strange.Overlong Analysis Cobalt wrote:

I'm hoping you got some of the conversation with your characters.
It's currently over 3 hours long, so I'm going to have to edit it.
Most of the thing is me gawping into space because I was tripping so hard I wasn't even noticing the fact my mouth was open.
(and wouldn't have cared).
So over three hours of what is mostly me sitting there in silence amazed at everything.
And unfortunately the conversation was inside my head, I think. I'm unsure.

Yes, I did use them.
They weren't anything as strong as I've grown accustomed to despite the amount, so things could've been a lot weirder. It was a shame in that respect.
Things were brighter and more pleasant however, so there's that to it at least.
and stereotypes are stereotypes for a reason, no? I mean, no-one has the exact same experience and every time is different, true, but there's some things that you'll find as a general rule of thumb that happens.
That's fine @ needing to ask though.
