today i have learned that ponyarchive was sent a "Cease & Desist" notice yesterday by hasbro. its bad because I,a lot of ponies use it to download pony episodes, since i almost never have money to buy on iTunes

But i find ponyarchives response a little bit unnecessary and immature,

Yes. The site was great and I used it, but they went way too far with that letter.

They have to remember that Hasbro is trying to make money off the episodes through iTunes and store discs so a website to download the episodes was taking away their profit.

The Cease and Desist was sent a while ago, and i just assumed they would take down the site, but i was wrong, someone sent a ridiculous response to hasbro about US laws not affecting them and moved the site to an Uzbekistan host and changed the URL to .eu

Sad part is, all of the good encoders left the site anyway, so anything you downloaded after the letter would be sub-par quality to what it was before.

Also, thats not the real response, it was more along the lines of (badly spelled and all)

I might not have to download pony. Turns out Comcast DOES have the HUB, just off of what we have for cable though... still, if we had it, I could watch MLP, every day before school :D
