I bought it at Hot Topic, haha. Afterwards, my mom started persecuting me cause she thought Rainbow Dash was a gay rights symbol (my parents are very strict conservative catholics.) I finally watched the film "A Brony Tale" and now I want to do something to better either myself or the community. Is this movement still a thing? I haven't spent much time of forums so I don't know... things?... I just want to get back into the fandom again cause I haven't done anything other than read foe since season 4 ended.

Well, I'm not sure there remain enough "active" "bronies" here to do any community thing (apart from vidjya gaems), but if you check on the big community sites like EQD and others, I guess you could find some things you could join.
As far as not-brony communities go, though... have you looked at your local charities and associations? Things like that you could invest yourself into, if it's what you want to do.

I did this in my old school.(i moved recently)and I do it at my new school. At my old school I found 3 bronies and a pegasister. Im now waiting to see who I find here.(i think I saw 1 already)
