Favorite Fan fic?

I think this thread doesn't really get a lot of attention, so, let say what our favorite fan fic is! You can only name ONE. Some people can make an essay about their list of favorites so lets keep it to one.

Mine? I've only read like 2 FF so it'd have to be The Vagabond
My reason is that it was interesting and sounded very plausible. That's my only complaint about FF, a lot of them sound impossible. It just bugs me when a story starts to steer off course and not sound like the actual material it's based off of. The only down side to this FF is that it's LONG. I'm sure there are other longer ones but I find this to be very, very, very long....I still haven't finished it yet which I need to.

Past Sins, without a doubt the best FF, and one of the best stories in general, that I've ever read. It's easily a novel, and has my favorite OC character of all time (SQUEEEEEEEEEEEE NYX).
The story is fantastic, and has a perfect ending to it, and even follows the show's theme of teaching a lesson;

You are not just a soldier, but a battlefield medic. as said yourself, it's both the best and worst job.
(yes, I am now imagining you, not only as the medic from TF2 in a US army uniform, but also treating some grievous wound or something.) in all seriousness though, it seems everyone can't help it after this FF.

I loved it. It was a new look with the whole blind pony thing, i could imagine the story as it was playing out. I think i might of cried a little while reading it. which rarly happens. I watched Marley and Me and nothing, I read this and bam! A few tears were shead. I think that only happens when one of my Space Marines fails their armour save and dies.

Now, I decided "buck it, I'm going to read this now" just 1hour ago and also decided to hear an audio version on YT. I got through the first 2/3 of it listening to the guy's voice and was enjoying it. But when it got to the sad part, I HAD to actually read it. I felt it I wasn't really getting the full experience...and boy, did it make a difference. When I read the last third of the story, I was tearing up. I had watched all of the seasons of Clannad(which believe me, is the SADDEST anime/anything I've ever went through...I mean, I was full on crying at certain parts) and pretty much harden up after that. But this, this made me tear up again, being a story and all. That doesn't really happen to me....at all now. So, this is now my 2nd favorite FF, with The Vagabond being still my first. I enjoy psychological stories more so thats why. But MLD is very close to the #1 spot

I've read My little Dashie, Cupcakes, Rainbow Factory, and Progress (and others)

But as far as a favorite? It would be a 3 way tie between "My little Hangover", "Mud, Sweat and Tears", and the one where they think Fluttershy is a porn star. All three of them are outright hilarious, and they have their strengths and weaknesses, it's too hard to decide without re-reading them.

The four at the top are good, and I really enjoyed them, but they're hard to re-read, unless it's through something like a dramatic reading, or a Rainbow Dash Presents.

Fallout: Equestria...hand down.

Kkat has a stunning ability to put every one of his characters through the wringer time after time and had me in tears at least a couple of times per chapter after the halfway point of the whole arc.

Damn thing is NOT short though, and that's my one complaint. Not that I mind it being long, but there's a whole 'Ruins of Canterlot' section that's 50k words for one chapter, and it needed to be about 20k. Mostly I think it came from having too much backstory to explain, and the 'real' action progressed far too slowly to be satisfying. Shame though, because the rest of it is first class stuff.

My Favourite would have to be Creeping Darkness.
Not because it was the first MLP fanfic that I read and enjoyed, but because it was also an Alan Wake crossover that was done very well.
