Zero finished attaching the jump pack and started to configure the settings in his helmets Operating System to allow easy use of the machine.
"Not my problem kid. I'm just going to go take a look at this 'lake', pick up a VIP and come back to this spot in about ten, fifteen minutes."
He finished fiddling with the configuration of the software, and started to fire up the engines, which were surprisingly quiet. But then he threw the throttle up and launched forward ten feet - the sound kicked up several decibels and sounded similar to a small explosion. Zero landed on his feet with a heavy thump and started to fiddle with the controls again, making the twin rockets on the back adjust and change directions.

[Linguz]

Malfure laid down on the grass.
"Guess we wait then."

[Octavia]

Zero finished adjusting the settings one more time, and set the power on full. The explosion that followed launched him at a 45 degree angle with the ground, giving him both height and speed. After a couple seconds of boost, the rocket would give out for several seconds, letting him fall to the earth, then it fired up again after a second on the ground. This created a jumping motion that carried the soldier away extremely fast.

Linguz and Malfure both went to sleep, separately. They're not gay.

Gary slept on the ground by himself, scared of what had happened today.

Eisen kept waving his arms until he collapsed from exhaustion. He lay splayed out on the ground where he fell, quietly snoring.

Zero launched himself around the surrounding city for a while. He left small craters all over, evidence of a top secret military project flying through a populated area. He found himself at the lake within a two or three minutes and he stopped for several minutes, observing the lake. He recorded the sight with his helmet from the moment he landed. It was something he didn't want to forget.

After he was done absorbing the site of the lake, he reluctantly turned and started boosting towards his next location. Within another three minutes, he arrived at his target, or rather in it. He fell through the ceiling of a two story house, and fell all the way through to the basement, where a steel plated vault door sat with a humming console next to it. He walked up the console and typed "Rainbow Dash Is Best Pony" into the machine. The machine flashed back "Incorrect password."

After another two tries, the machine locked out the frustrated zero, who instead stepped back a couple feet, drew his bolter and fired three shots into the vault door. The resulting explosion threw the door into the room beyond, smashing it clear into the opposite wall.

Daniel was sitting at his console when the vault door blew off its hinges and smashed upon the opposite wall. He freaked the hell out, and grabbed a handgun next to his keyboard and started firing at the intruder until the clip was empty. After the dust cleared, he saw that it was Super Marine Project Mark 000, and calmed down.
"Oh, sorry Mark 0. How's the new armor suiting you? I see that they got you the new jump pack I built as well."
He looked at the weapon in his hand and smiled.
"Well if it isn't the trusty old bolter. They told me I was insane and that no human could fire such a powerful weapon. Well now I get to laugh at them!"

Zero looked at Daniel and frowned inside his helmet. The boy always shot him each time he came in, whether he broke down the vault door or not. Once, a bullet had ricocheted and hit the child in the arm.
"What happened to the password. Did you change it again?"

"Yea, sorry. I changed my mind."
Daniel scratched his head.
"Fluttershy Is Best Pony now."

Zero facepalmed, then grabbed the boy and picked him up, carrying him in his arms.

"Hey, What the hell Mark?"

"We're going. Command wants you back at HQ."

Daniel shat himself right then as the jump pack fired up.
"Aww, hell no..."
Zero fired the rocket, and the two launched into the air, Daniel freaking out and screaming the whole way. By the time they were half way back to the school, he had calmed down and started instead alternating from observing the landscape passing by, and bracing for impact with the ground. Zero landed directly in the center of the sleeping children with a loud *THUMP* and dropped Daniel on the ground.

Malfure woke up and looked at the kid.
"Who's he?"
Linguz slowly opened his eyes.

[Octavia]

"Head Programmer and Weapons Designer for the Super Marine Project," Zero grunted.

"The name is Daniel."
He looked up at Zero.
"And I don't think that pops would like you handing out classified information like candy."

Zero glowered at Daniel through his helmet.
"And I don't think the commander would like you calling him 'pops'."

[Ferrous_Oxide]

Eisen sat up quickly when the robotic suit guy, as he had taken to calling him in his head, landed. He was still slightly asleep.
"No I don't want any bagels," he said groggily as his mind began to clear.
He shook his head and began to stand up.

[Octavia]

Daniel looked at Eisen with slightly insane eyes.
"I don't know about everyone else, but a bagel sounds great right about now."
