Anybody got an active Spacebattles Account

I joined their forum near the beginning of the month, but like a week later, I got hit with a ban for a bogus spam charge.

It's been two weeks now and I'm still under the ban. None of the mods-at least the ones who actually have contact info posted-I've contacted in the past two weeks have responded back.

Anyone here with an account over there who know the contact info for a generally helpful mod or can plead my case on my behalf?

Well, SB is currently is the middle of a, well... civil war, so I think the mods may have their hands full with board drama.

Yes, I am well aware of the "Athene Situation" and, frankly, I think the whole thing's been blown completely out of proportion and is distracting the Mods and Admins from actually moderating.

But that's not the issue here. I don't want to join another forum, Spacebattles has a lot of subject discussions that I'm interested in and all I want is to get this bogus ban lifted. 

Seriously, I logged off one night, logged on the next day after work and found out I was banned. I received no warning from the mod who did it and they didn't even have the decency to identify themselves. The only info I received was that I had been banned for spam. I had little over a hundred posts all across to board and none of them would be what you would describe as spam. The only possible reason might be because I posted a few too many Vs. threads too quickly, but that's still pretty minor and I should have at least received a warning beforehand, which I didn't.

Sorry, this whole situation has just pissed me off and I needed to vent, but seriously, if you were a mod, would you pull stuff like this?

Sounds like someone made a friend a mod without realizing they weren't exactly well suited for the job.

I don't frequent SB, I just vaguely heard of the situation from yet another board.

Anyway, if I were a mod... well, I'll let a wiser man than me speak.

Guess I owe a thanks to Harmony for directing me towards the Sufficient Velocity Forum. While I was there, I ran into one of the mods from Spacebattles. I was able to get a conversation with him and he got the ban lifted.

Unfortunately, I don't have a mod to be angry at any more. Apparently, I just got caught up in one of their regular anti-spambot sweeps. Stupid automated system can't tell the difference between a bot and a new member who's getting into the flow of things.
