Pokemon (Insert Color)

Hey everyone.

So this is finally starting up today, and I know some of you were interested in keeping up with it/watching the madness that is sure to happen. So this will be the thread where I'll put updates on the progress of our party, as well as any information that they may need on upcoming sessions and such. As this is the start of the first session, it'll probably start of very clunky while we all get used to the rules and how combat works, so bear with us until we figure it out.

As of right now, the party is closed to any new players until I can get the hang of running this game, but if it works out well I may end up opening another party to start up for those interested. I don't know when that would be, but we'll see what happens.

This game will have a session every sunday, hopefully around noon my time (mountain), but will likely skip or be moved to a later time on the weekends I have work and such.

No, it just assumes that everyone showing up is a player. The party is Last, Guard, Orm, Doublediamond, and XT.

And that's all of session 1. I'll put up a summary of what happened in a bit.
It wasn't that exciting.

Alright, here's what happened so far:

Everyone got off the boat into Tidetown. Each of them came from their respective backgrounds to become trainers, breeders, or whatever it is their goal is as a trainer of Pokemon. They all came here to get their start at the invitation of Professor Palm - A professor in the island town who helps trainers get their start in return for helping her with her research.

They found her lab but only another new trainer was there with instructions to pick their first Pokemon and find her at her home at the north of the island. XT chose Cyndaquil, Last chose Shinx, Orm chose Charmander, Doublediamond chose Totodile, and Guard chose Snivy.

They made their way to the Professor's home after a few quick battles in the woods (where Totodile mercilessly killed a trainer's Bellsprout, as well as a wild Hoppip) and met with Palm. She took them back to the lab, where the other pokemon for new trainers were missing, probably stolen. The group went back north to find the trainer from earlier, Erika, and fought her Solosis to get the stolen pokemon back. They beat her easily and returned the pokemon. They recieved their pokedex's and got some pokeballs, then went out and got some fights in as well as catching a few pokemon.
Diamond caught a Shellos and a Krabby, XT got a Caterpie and Metapod, and Last got a Metapod. Orm got beat into dust by Caterpie (Caterpie OP, pls nerf).

And that was all we did today. It took 5 hours.

Fun times listening in. So, why'dja decide to communicate in Steam Chat?
Our group does it in Skype. Personally I find that has the most stable connection, not to mention the weird phenomena that allows me to stay connected when my router gets nuked.

Mainly because most of us don't have Skype since it caused a few computer issues.
We wanted to use Dolby, but my computer refuses to run it.
Teamspeak and a few others require a server, which none of us have.

Basically: Steam was easiest for everyone.
