1/ It's actually the ancient Athenian who first invented the concept of Democracy around 500 BC.
2/ The US constitution was drafted, ratified and entered service before the French Revolution officially started.

I think this summer has been the coolest for Georgia in a long while. Barely heard of us getting over 100 F. As it currently stands we've had highs in the high 80s/ low 90s and lows in the 60s.

If anything, the French Revolution was a direct result of the french helping the colonies.

Yes and no. It was more accurately a result of the continued waves of Wars the Bourbon dynasty involved France into - somewhat justifiably so given our territorial integrity was at stake, but still.

Though it is widely theorized that the American Colonies seceding from the British Crown was one of the sparks that ignited the Revolutionary spark in the French Bourgeoisie, business being strangled by all the layers of taxes imposed on them to finance the King's wars.

Added to that a whole lot of local issues in the various regions of France, and the popular unrest coming from famines provoked by speculation on the price of grain and all that kind of happy funtime stuff, and you get the Day of Tiles in 1788 and Bastille Day in 1789.
