It's almost October, but you're right. Usually at this time of year average temperature is +18, not +10. And our central heaters (might got that words wrong), not working yet, though government promised start 'heating season' from today.

Nope. In 'heat of summer' temperature here can vary from +25 to +40 in shadows. Yeah, it also depends you're living in north/west region (west - lots of mountains) or south/east.

I'm living in north region and trust me, we having +35 at summer pretty often. Fans and air conditioners helps though.

Considering that, in the coming days, it'll probably be a lot easier to get a few minutes to play some game on a handheld than to sit down in front of my laptop, I was considering getting a few games for it. Can anyone recommend a few singleplayer, story-driven games for the DS that aren't shit?

I don't know if you can find any of the GBA games still, but Lunar Knights for the DS is definitely one I'd recommend. Also the Fire Emblem series,  Metroid Prime: Hunters is decent in its single player, any Pokemon game'll keep you going for a while, and Contact.

I don't know if you can find any of the GBA games still, but Lunar Knights for the DS is definitely one I'd recommend. Also the Fire Emblem series,  Metroid Prime: Hunters is decent in its single player, any Pokemon game'll keep you going for a while, and Contact.

I personally found fire emblems story really boring, maybe it's good but sense the text comes out in massive dumps between missions I just couldn't. I'd recommend Phoenix wright it's not exactly story driven but it's a nice puzzle like game. Also not sure how you feel about JRPGS but I had a lot of fun with 'The world ends with you'. And of course there's a couple Pokemon games out there to occupy your time.

I remember having fun with trauma center as well. Again I don't remember that game having a very good story. I remember you're a surgeon that can go into bullet time and that's it.  But the early levels are fun with the later ones just being excercises in frustration. There's also a remake of the first resident evil game if you've never played it it's got some added annoyances though as they dropped your inventory for some reason. And they added touch screen functionality to make the game easier, which is kinda comical. (if only Jill had thought to pull out her knife during the snake boss the first time.)

They don't exactly meet your criteria but they're all games I had fun with.
