((I don't think it'd be wrong to ask, but the employee shouldn't have to answer... unless they're contagious, then that's a liability.))

((That's personal stuff. The employer can ask, but the employee is in no way obligated to answer. I wouldn't say it could be considered an offensive question, especially if the employer knows their employee is sick or something like that and is just checking in with them because they actually give a crap about the people who work for them. If they're just going around asking employees "Do you have AIDS?", that's fucked up and the employer has no right to do that (with some exceptions. Medical personnel should probably have what they've got on their record).))
